Time goes by, people were talking about a legendary girl who shall close the portal and save the world. And one day, a girl came from somewhere and entered to the portal. ●Game Introduction● This dungeon is full of mysteries and heartless monsters. You should get through all these obstacles and reach to the end of the dungeon to save the world. As a rogue-like game, if your player dies during the game, you should start the game from the very beginning. Every time you restart the game, you will see the newly constructed dungeon and experience a new adventure. The items you earned are also gone, so you have to start over a new game with nothing. Fortunately runes and craft recipes that you earned from the Particle of Memory will be remained. When you clear the boss or you die, you will get the Particle of Memory, which you can earn runes and craft recipes. Runes give a special power to players. With craft recipes, you can collect materials and make strong artifacts while playing a game. Now would you like to start your adventure? You'll get a "connecting to server" message often despite the game having no multiplayer aspects. It is seemingly only there to govern premium currency, wait timers and unlocks. Now that said, the game itself is alright. Decent rogue game, reminds me of a less polished Shattered Planet. Unlocks seem to be based on getting new crafting recipes and runes which act as perks, you get them from random boxes after runs and you can buy them with premium currency. You only ever seem to get the same few runes so you may need to unlock the higher runes before you can get them in random drops. It also takes a really long time to receive your runes as the counter counts up by one and at times you might receive 20 of a rune. ZS77 Well-Known Member May 8, 2015 566 2 18 #3 ZS77, Nov 9, 2016 @Jenoheart Thanks for the impressions and firewarning. Sucks about the constant connection and shame it's f2p, can't help thinking Rogulikes should always be premium with additional unlocks for extra characters, content etc not wait timers and energy. It's a pity because the dark atmosphere and more 'grown up' style of artwork was a bit of a fresh change from the usual pixel/cartoony tropes. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #4 stubbieoz, Nov 9, 2016 I'm going to try this one out, even though it is online and freemium rubbish is there. I love rogue types and the graphics from the video take a style that looks great. But..... I highly doubt it will stay on my iPad because of those two aspects that are just wrong to have with this sort of game. pyrrhonic Active Member Mar 23, 2015 29 0 1 #5 pyrrhonic, Nov 9, 2016 So far, I've only been getting "Failed to connect to server" and a dump back to home screen, repeatedly, despite being connected to the Internet. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #6 stubbieoz, Nov 9, 2016 Yep same here. It is not happening all the time and for me it mainly happens when I am tapping on a newly found rune. Unfortunately you also lose the rune when the game crashes. It is a shame as the game is pretty good from first impressions. The iap are Ancient Coins that you can get as rewards for acheivements or you can choose to purchase with real money. I have no idea how much they cost as that is another time the game crashes for me. Ancient Coins allow you to speed up opening a treasure item you receive upon death and are also used to level up your skills. The graphics are quite good. There is no background music even though it is on in the options. There is no map however you can zoom right out and you are able to see where you have explored so far. The general brightness is a bit too dark however which can make it difficult, though not impossible, to see the area. Engrish is here though you can work out most times what it the meaning is. It is quite a difficult game and you will die often. But that is to be expected in a rogue game. The difficulty so far seems about right though I have only played for a relatively short time and made it to level 2. You have the option, by tapping on a special tile, to occasionally watch an ad for a possible rare item. It is completely optional and you only find one or two of these tiles in a level. There is a crafting system available but I have only so far managed to craft simple items that are no better than the starting equipment. As is typical in a rogue game you can save at any time and return to the menu. Death is permanent. There is also a hunger mechanism in the game. I am not fond of this and have died a couple of times simply from not finding any food. You get gold drops from searching and killing enemies but I have absolutly no idea what you can use it for as so far I have come across no merchants. When you level up your character you only get a hp increase. There is also no character customising, including graphical or stats. Unfortunately the online aspect of the game will be its downfall as is happening already with server issues. There is no way I am going to spend any money on it. A game that requires being online all the time needs an enormous following to keep the servers financially viable. I highly doubt that a rogue like will generate enough interest in gamers for this to happen. If this was an offline premium game maybe with the option to purchase Ancient Coins I would heartly recommend it. As it stands now I cannot, though it is certainly worth a download and try if you like rogue games. I barely reach floor 4 and I badly wanna try the other characters (unlocking starts at floor 6). But I'm having the best roguelike adventure times since Sword of Fargoal and Cardinal Quest 2. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #17 stubbieoz, Nov 11, 2016 Agreed 100% The game is definitely hard but it's a "fun" sort of hard. It would easily be in my top five rogue games if only it didn't have the online all the time requirement. Please, please, developer give us an option to purchase the game outright and remove that online requirement. I would happily pay for that. As it stands now I'm sorry but unfortunately you wont be getting a cent from me. ☹️ ScotDamn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Jul 8, 2013 1,990 0 36 Wireless Sales Happy Daddy https://twitter.com/ScotDamn #18 ScotDamn, Nov 12, 2016 Yep, same here.
