WhovianWithALightsaber Active Member Jun 7, 2013 40 0 0 #3 WhovianWithALightsaber, Nov 3, 2016 I would assume because you need to keep an eye on which opponents take more damage from your characters' classes. There are three classes in the game and each is strong/weak against the others. DC FREEMIUMS? another rubbish... Palanthian Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2016 142 2 18 #6 Palanthian, Nov 3, 2016 Well that didn't take long, their server has gone down already. Been down for 10+ minutes now. Egokiller Well-Known Member Mar 19, 2013 55 1 8 #7 Egokiller, Nov 3, 2016 Ive only been able to put in about an hour so far, but it has been drastically improved since the soft launch last year. If you gave up on this game after playing the soft launch, it is worth giving it another try. Everything has been cleaned up and streamlined. If you enjoy SWGOH or Summoners War then you will probably enjoy this one as well. Gameplay is the standard turn-based rpg with 1-3 waves of enemies per level. One nice change is that buffs carry over between waves. It adds a nice change where you no longer need to save buffs for the start of boss fights. Character progression is also very similar to SWGOH where you are able to upgrade character gear, character skills, and character rank (stars). Another nice change from SWGOH is the addition of a story line. Its nothing special, but its nice to have in order to drive forward the campaign levels. I'm having a blast so far and if it keeps up this way I will gladly throw a few buck at them. Seems like less of a money grab than avengers alliance or swgoh unless that ceiling is right around the corner and I just can't see it yet. Enker Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 85 0 6 #11 Enker, Nov 3, 2016 It's basically DCs answer to the gap left by Avengers Alliance and I'm loving it. I've always preferred the DC characters to those at Marvel anyway and the story arc so far is quite interesting. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #12 chief78, Nov 4, 2016 Agreed. This game is the answer from DC to Marvel and so far I'm digging it Exuare Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2016 79 0 0 #13 Exuare, Nov 4, 2016 Never played the Star Wars and Marvel versions before, are they (I mean that in a good way) all three the same? Palanthian Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2016 142 2 18 #14 Palanthian, Nov 4, 2016 I played Marvel Avengers Alliance 2 once, it was a poor imitation of the genre. That's why it was shut down within the first 6 months of its release: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/disney-shuts-down-both-marvel-avengers-alliance-ga/1100-6443252/ Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes (SWGOH) is, in my opinion, the best example of the genre and is just coming up to its 1 year anniversary. I play it ... excessively, shall we say, in the top guild (Team Instinct). DC Legends is a GOOD imitation. It gets a lot of things right, it even improves on many aspects, but it's not as mature in terms of content (not even close). It also doesn't have as strong an IP, in my opinion, although to a die-hard DC fan it will be heaven sent. Turn-based combat games like these are more strategic than you would think - if you haven't tried one before, give either SWGOH or DC Legends a try. Personally, this game doesn't add enough value to what I've already got in the Star Wars version, and I just don't need another time/money sink. The servers are behaving better than yesterday, by the way, which is a good sign for anyone wanting to try it. Exuare Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2016 79 0 0 #15 Exuare, Nov 4, 2016 Thanks for this reply! A buddy and me are playing together and he only gets attacked on average once and hour where as mine seem to be averaging 4-5 an hour. He is currently at 1700 trophies where for every 5 I earn I lose 10. Serenityinaz12 Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2015 56 0 0 #20 Serenityinaz12, Nov 10, 2016 This game is literally an exact clone of SWGOH. Wow. Sad how little effort they must have put into this to add anything new or unique (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
