Mariko Well-Known Member May 19, 2016 210 1 0 #4 Mariko, Oct 27, 2016 I've been playing around with this for a few days now, and definitely liking what I see. I do have a question, though. Are there any plans on adding MFI controller support? I'm on a 12.9" iPad Pro and have pretty small hands. Due to it's size, I have a more difficult time with using "Virtual controls" . Since most games with those type of controls are designed to work on smaller displays, when that isn't considered, they are MUCH harder for me to use, as they don't scale appropriately. JindoFox Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2008 526 11 18 #5 JindoFox, Apr 20, 2017 I'm amazed there isn't more traffic about this pretty little game. I didn't know anything about it and only learned of it in the comments thread about another upcoming 3d mmo. It has that pc mmorpg feel about it. It has dungeon raids, boss raids, open world, loot drops, humour, cross platform... everything! Give it a go if you like RPG or mmorpg. You have a small start area with skeletons, but after that you enter the start village and game starts for proper from there Crazyboy423 Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2014 192 2 18 Studdent France #9 Crazyboy423, Jun 27, 2017 Looks like a real MMO without auto play. Downloading Talaen Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2012 112 0 16 #10 Talaen, Jun 27, 2017 I completely agree. This is a fantastic game, made by a company with a tremendous track record of delivering extremely fair FTP games without limits. This is not the type of FTP with stamina meters, autoplay, tons of currencies, etc. This is a pretty robust Instanced mmorpg with wide open areas, quests, crafting, etc. it is still in open beta and a lot of additions and tuning, but there are no further wipes planned and the game gets better (and new content) every few weeks. The company and its dev team are among the most fun and engaging I have ever seen. The design notes alone are worth reading between playing due to the combination of self deprecating humor, end user feedback loops, creative construction, and transparency. Highly recommend to try. Bloodangel Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2011 1,824 46 48 Retail England #11 Bloodangel, Jun 28, 2017 Yeah it is a real mmo... no auto play or auto fight No timers. You see the armour you equip. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #12 JasonLL, May 19, 2020 Last edited: May 19, 2020 Recently discovered this f2p MMORPG and it has easily become one of my favorite mobile games of this type and wanted to use my single “bump up an ancient post” TouchArcade token that was mistakenly gifted to me a long time ago for those that might not know about the game. AQ3D looks very “indie” compared to the more polished big name f2ps, especially compared to 2019-2020 standards on mobile, but it has a lot going for it that is uncommon on this platform such as: Monster threat (dungeon instances) - Monsters in the AQ3D dungeons pack a punch and can easily kill you if your not careful. One of the few mobile MMO’s I’ve played where you need to pull aggro correctly or die. Back in my days of playing LoTRO learning a dungeon and then teaching others how to move through the instance was one of my favorite parts which kept me engaged for a long time. The AQ3D dungeons are certainly not as elaborate as LoTRO but they still require smart decisions. Not everyones cup of tea but I love RPGs that encourage careful play and active teamwork in certain spots. Unfortunately death isn’t too bad of a penalty (maybe a team wipe is worse) but it’s still cool to see certain gameplay features that I miss. Character classes that can be unlocked throughout the world - Certain NPC’s can unlock new character classes for the player if they don’t mind grinding for unique class points. The only downside is that the player can only obtain a set amount of points per day so the class won’t unlock right away. I actually like this since it gives me a daily goal of obtaining class tokens/points and the classes seem interesting. Another cool feature I want to write about is once you level a class to max rank (10 ranks total) their unique skill gets unlocked that can be used with any other class if you decide to switch classes (which is encouraged to unlock all the skills that can move from class to class.) Charm / Character / Customization and a really nice Community - Story is a good mixture of funny and serious (although a bit more on the lighthearted side) and the NPC’s, monsters and environments have a lot of charm. One of the greatest features is the appearance customization as you play the game. There are a ton of different looks that can be grinded for or purchased with in game gold or premium currency (no p2w chests from what I’ve opened - it’s all cosmetic). ste86uk and christianX0 like this. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #17 JasonLL, May 21, 2020 In Battleon, the place your character starts after the intro/tutorial there is a portal at the center of the city square that shows places you can possibly travel to (after they unlock) and the area level of that place. That will give you a good idea of where you should be when you reach a certain character lvl. Although those are just guidelines. I’ve seen players over leveled and under leveled in certain places. The lack of a map is definitely strange especially compared to modern (heck even some old school) MMO’s but I didn’t mind too much since there is a quest navigation arrow in the upper right of the screen that pointed me in the direction of the active objective. There is also a quick travel in the menu that is helpful for moving around. The path I took when I first started out was I left Battleon (manually) and took a short path to Greenguard Forest where I met my first Quest NPC that gave me tasks to complete around the area. Then I found a path to Heartwood forest and continued adventuring from there. Later on I found a bunch of things I’ve missed, that I went back and checked out, including a handful of dungeons that were right under my nose but didn’t see at first which I thought was really cool. Yes you can change classes with your existing character by going into the menu on the right side of the screen. At first you only have the option to move between any of the three starter classes (Warrior, Rogue, Mage) or Guardian if you purchased the guardian upgrade package.
