I'm having mixed thoughts to be honest. This game absolutely takes its gameplay off of Into The Dead by Pikpok. I haven't seen any forced ads. So right off the bat this game beats into the dead right there. None of that garbage kiip rewards nonsense. The game does have multiple currencies and does use the gimmick of using one currency of buying the other currency and then that second currency, which you earn playing as well, is what you use to buy weapons and upgrades. There are no currency doubler IAP. I wish this was in the game as this is something I could support. There are some weapon packages but nothing spectacular. There are consumable boosters but they are expensive and since there's no currency doubler there's no point in using them. The one thing I haven't seen, or atleast I missed it, were different areas or scenes. There only seemed to be one. You open the door and run. This can get boring. The good though is the zombies are freaken fast and intense. They are not easy to kill. So it's not an easy run even with weapons. So it does keep it interesting. I like it challenging. So as I said I have mixed feelings. I guess I need to play some more. You do unlock weapons for free by completing missions. After every 3 you unlock new things. The game definitely could be so much more. To be honest because of its no forced ads I'd rather play this than play into the dead where your forced to watch kiip reward ads that even after making purchases that I've done you still are forced to see. That still pisses me off. Billy Maelwolf Well-Known Member Mar 18, 2016 134 1 18 #3 Maelwolf, Oct 21, 2016 I love Evil Dead, but this is a pretty bad game. I don't think I've ever played a runner in which you can barely tell what killed you most of the time, you are simply informed that you died. Mechanics flaws aside, it just isn't that exciting to look at. For a game based on such an fun and gory IP, this is extremely bland. Mookmonster Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2010 398 0 16 #4 Mookmonster, Oct 21, 2016 Could have been an amazing game. Hitbox problems, path problems, and just the overall game lacks polish. Its like into the dead, but you have more control of where your character walks. I want to like it, but into the dead is simply superior. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #5 ramzarules, Oct 21, 2016 "Could have been an amazing game. Hitbox problems, path problems" This for me too. All too often i get killed by enemies running diagonally at me so i can't target them. And when they are rushing 2 or more at a time on you, you can kill the first and the second kills you. I like the turning and direction changes, but the way it's implemented it's more of a handicap. At least in Into the dead you know if you aren't seeing a zombie straight aheead, you won't get sideswiped by a diagonal enemy you can't target. Jenohart Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2010 289 0 0 Australia #6 Jenohart, Oct 21, 2016 Pretty fun game. Why does it require an internet connection tho? No really, why does a singleplayer endless runner with no multiplayer elements need an internet connection? WHY!? Otherwise it's alright I guess, still has some problems. Why are enemies sometimes able to attack you from behind where you can't stop them? Why have 3 hit points when every attack takes away more than 1 HP? Aiming with guns seem weird too. Shots will only connect if the reticle turns red. Even if you trained it dead on an enemy right in front of you, your shots might still miss unless the reticle turns red. Oh they're there, just not as intrusive. I got a fullscreen ad while in the upgrade store, not sure if it's based on timer or switching out of the app. Techzamazing Well-Known Member Sep 21, 2015 493 6 18 https://www.youtube.com/Techzamazing #7 Techzamazing, Oct 21, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Good game indeed. They need to add more locations. I like the graphics and sound. Controls are better too. shodanng Well-Known Member Apr 2, 2009 294 0 0 #8 shodanng, Oct 21, 2016 The environment is very real, but get the blood drop make the game unrealistic. Just kill the witch by simply flick left/right to dodge and pick ammo. Get a mission need me to run 1000m that is not easy. cy@n Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2011 1,812 17 38 "Mein Land" #9 cy@n, Oct 22, 2016 After the first run the game forces me to upgrade the nailgun and because i have not enough blooddrops i HAVE TO buy them if i want to continue. I didn't find a way to get back on the track up to now without paying. Is there a way? LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #10 LordShad0wz, Oct 22, 2016 That's a bug. The game gave me the blood to upgrade the nail gun. I didn't have any blood at all. It gave it to me to upgrade it. You hit a blood. Try uninstalling and reinstalling. Billy cy@n Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2011 1,812 17 38 "Mein Land" #11 cy@n, Oct 22, 2016 Re-installing worked. Thank you! chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #12 chief78, Oct 22, 2016 I agree with others on the control and hit box detection needing a fix. The sideways enemy death trap is really annoying and it's going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people. Hopefully they'll adress this. Also, I've noticed once you have 1 health missing, it seems like your 2nd and 3rd bar get consumed (ie you take 2 hits simultaneously) immediately, meaning the 2nd hit is insta-death. There is some fun to be had but bugs need to be squashed and gameplay tweaked first. shodanng Well-Known Member Apr 2, 2009 294 0 0 #13 shodanng, Oct 23, 2016 A mission called "survive a sprint plain". I actually like this game and I'd like to spend some money in it if certain things get addressed. It would be awesome if the dev would give us some thoughts on possible updates.
