Not sure how I feel about that. Was kinda turned off by this dev when the switched the original Mushroom Wars from premium to F2P. I always understand the reasons why devs do so, but some devs handle it better for paying customers than others. This dev wasn't one of them IMO, which was ashame because it started out as a good game. I wonder if the subscription is just for online multiplayer or if it applies to the whole game including the campaign? Boo for this, devs. :/ nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 864 14 18 #11 nkarafo, Oct 14, 2016 Even the latest Tetris on ipad has this silly subscription. WTF really !!! I wish they will NOT meet their sales expectations because it's like cancer. Poo Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2013 424 0 0 #12 Poo, Oct 14, 2016 I get people are pissed about their first app but I actually played this, its pretty good for this type of game but I do think it's over priced. You get the first 15 maps free then to complete the chapter it's 5$ a chapter (4chapters) or all chapters for 12$, the size of the map means there should be a ton of maps for each chapter. The use of heros is new to me with this type of game but I think it's a cool idea especially since it has multiplayer. If you like this type of game 3$ a chapter seems reasonable. But also I don't know what the details were about the first app going f2p. I think I played it after it switched already. Slate Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2015 145 6 18 Game Taster Wisconsin #13 Slate, Oct 14, 2016 Is this accurate? This appears to be a purchase one needs to make and does not appear to occur by simply downloading the game. Poo Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2013 424 0 0 #14 Poo, Oct 14, 2016 No it isn't. Look at my comment above yours, it says how they monetized it. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #15 anthony78, Oct 14, 2016 Then why does the App Description explicitly say this: "The app includes auto-renewing subscription Unlimited War Spirits. The subscription has a 7-day free trial and costs $2.49 per month after the trial period. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication." Could it be that you are in the "free trial". Or maybe it's only for multiplayer? On the other hand, maybe the sub is only for whatever "unlimited spirts" are. Poo Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2013 424 0 0 #16 Poo, Oct 14, 2016 I think it's for whatever unlimited spirits are which I didn't find out in the trial but the chapters are just those prices. Let me open it and see if I can find out what the unlimited spirits are. Poo Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2013 424 0 0 #17 Poo, Oct 14, 2016 Okay so I didn't scroll sideways in the shop cause it didn't look like you could. Der. The spirits are used for multiplayer you have three which recharge I will try it to see how long they take. Here is a full list of IAP. 12$ season pass which is all 4 episodes 5$ individual episode only the first is available right now. 2.49$/month subscription war spirits so unlimited multiplayer 20$ gold edition is all 4 episodes and 1 year unlimited war spirits 75$ royal edition just says everything and forever be a backer which on the site says it's all 4 episodes, unlimited war spirits forever, chance to influence development of new features, be able to upvote features you want to see sooner. Poo Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2013 424 0 0 #18 Poo, Oct 14, 2016 I think for the single player 12$ is decent for all 4 episodes. I played a multiplayer game and destroyed the other two players and didn't lose any war spirits so I'll have to lose on purpose later to see how long it takes to recharge, I don't have time anymore right now. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #19 syntheticvoid, Oct 14, 2016 Thank you for the details. =o) DTK Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2014 343 12 18 Marketing Berlin Germany #20 DTK, Oct 15, 2016 What think this devs?
