Doesn't make it sound very tempting to someone who's burnt-out by games with cards in them. TheSop Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2016 264 0 16 #4 TheSop, Oct 13, 2016 I tried it, the gameplay is quite unique but the game contents is very limited and i don't think it will be very popular. Also the interface seems a bit buggy on my iPhone 7, some of the buttons to go back don't work correctly. Not sure if it backs up data to a server/cloud so if you reinstall not sure what happens to any purchases. Artfoundry Well-Known Member May 11, 2009 2,519 2 38 COO and Creative Director at LCD Dreams, Inc. Bay area, CA #5 Artfoundry, Oct 13, 2016 Seems interesting, but it's seriously buggy. Kept having connection issues, and now the game is completely broken. After playing one of the tutorial games and earning a booster, I exited to do something else on my phone. When I went back into the game a min later, it reloaded (already not a good sign if it has to reload every time you leave), and then showed me the last card I earned from the booster. But I can't exit that screen! Tapping, dragging, nothing works. I even deleted the game and downloaded again. Same spot. So I can't even play now. Lame. MintCity Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2016 200 1 18 #6 MintCity, Oct 13, 2016 This game actually surprised me with its gameplay. It's actually quite different/unique. You have a variety of strategies because of a unique mechanic of moving your units/cards back and forth between multiple rows. Units have ranged attacks and melee attacks. This causes you to have to shift your cards according to certain threats and strengths. Pretty cool but ridiculously grindy or expensive, depending on what you like to do. Great ideas but lacks a bit of polish. TheSop Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2016 264 0 16 #7 TheSop, Oct 13, 2016 I see it being one of those games that will die fast and they will end up switching the servers off so not worth investing any money to get better cards. MintCity Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2016 200 1 18 #8 MintCity, Oct 13, 2016 I agree. I wish this was an original IP. neumanator Well-Known Member Mar 7, 2015 61 0 6 #9 neumanator, Oct 14, 2016 I... may be an idiot. I admit it, but I think I enjoy the feel of this more than Hearthstone. I love the lane/tactical element to this game. I can play against someone who is the same as me in relation to my deck and, if I play my cards right I can win. The same goes for people who are a higher level... I love it. Seztael New Member Mar 31, 2015 4 0 0 #10 Seztael, Oct 15, 2016 Seems solid I like it so far. It has a lot of Hearthstone mechanics but adding some twists that make it different. The rows, ranges and hero movement/upgrade are all pretty cool. Comparing the cost with heartstone you do get slightly less out of the gate but can unlock at least 3 other heroes by playing a couple of games. Every win gives you a 2 card pack that can contain a card you don't have but will in many cases give gold or blood (card crafting mat). The downside is that the packs are locked behind a countdown clock and you can only get the content after 4 hours, so you can only "unlock" 6 reward packs in a day (unless you pay). There are still missions just like in Hearthstone that will give some gold and if you manage to clear all 3 missions you get a better reward pack once every 12 hours. For a free to play gamer this has the potential to give more rewards pr. day then Hearthstone and the gameplay is pretty solid, so I will keep at it for now. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a new card game. And I agree it's too bad it's tied to the movie as it probably will die, but it's fun for now and they give you enough for free. WTF is real-time in this clearly turn-based Hearthstone variant? Artfoundry Well-Known Member May 11, 2009 2,519 2 38 COO and Creative Director at LCD Dreams, Inc. Bay area, CA #13 Artfoundry, Dec 10, 2016 I think it just means you play synchronously with others (instead of asynchronously or against an AI controlled player). Probably 'play live' would be better. The game's system of rewarding 1 card packs with huge 3+ hour timers before you can open them unless you spend extra cash is some of the lamest F2P fun reminiscent of Clash Royale's treasure chests. Mistrija Active Member Jan 31, 2014 35 0 6 #15 Mistrija, Jul 13, 2017 My ONLY complaint is the lack of AI (campaign or battles) which will be playable offline for non wifi situations.
