Losing a rare item you just got from a mine because your inventory is full and you have no money to expand it is just not fun! My advice: don't waste your hard earned diamonds to open chests. You'll need them to expand the inventory, and to craft and repair higher quality gear. About_Fun Member Oct 5, 2015 13 0 0 http://www.about-fun.com #6 About_Fun, Oct 12, 2016 Tiny Miners update! Hi everyone! Thanks for playing Tiny Miners. We've got a new update for you: panfried Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2013 101 1 18 #7 panfried, Oct 12, 2016 Last edited: Oct 13, 2016 I really like this game, it's really hard sometimes, but it's fun to collect the materials needed to craft the next piece of gear that gives you just enough HP/MP to unlock the next mine. At first I had a problem with inventory space and crystals but after saving up and increasing it 3 times I finally have enough slots to get by. I wish I could upgrade it one more time but I am not going to waste 300 crystals on it. Now comes the major flaw of this game, coins. During the early/middle portion of the game this is not an issue and I even had 200,000+ coins saved up by the time I reached somewhere around mine 80-90. But getting from there to mine 103 where I am now the repair cost of high level gear outpaces the amount of coins you can earn from normal mines and I am down to 76,000 coins. For example, you can earn about 1,500 per mine and 2,500 bonus if you 3 start it. So that's 4,000 per dig if you do well. Each piece of gear has on average about 8 durability and costs on average about 9000 coins to repair. So every 8 mines you play earns you 32,000 and costs you 54,000. Fail/die/lose at any point and you just cost yourself big-time. I can already see the point at which I will have 0 coins and completely broken gear and at that point there is nothing I can do but quit, spend real money to buy coins, or watch adds and hope it gives me coins instead of stupid Fire starters. You can't even spend crystals to buy coins, which seems a little weird. Obviously they are pointing you to buy the coin doubler in which case this whole issue becomes moot. But for those of us who don't want to spend money this is a definite wall near the late game. I hope the devs listen to this and can address this issue, whether it means converting crystals into coins or reducing repair costs or increasing durability I don't care. Heck, even having some kind of coin mine where you can earn tons of coins once per day I'll take that. Maybe they could add gold bars that aren't used in crafting but sell for a lot of coins while their at it. Until then, my 76,000 won't last long... Edit: Oh jeez, it just got worse! The new HP based clothes I crafted called Steampunk Clothes costs 33,200 coins AND 5 crystals to repair... That is outrageous!! About_Fun Member Oct 5, 2015 13 0 0 http://www.about-fun.com #8 About_Fun, Oct 16, 2016 Hi Panfried, thank you very much for all your feedback. We are working very hard to improve Tiny Miners. At the moment we are still adjusting repairing system. Also, we will think about improving inventory space. We want to make well ballanced game and with this feedback you are helping us a lot! Thank you again. Paying 33,200 coins AND 5 crystals to repair Steampunk clothes is strange. We will definitely look into it and we will fix it until the next update. Thank you for your support and for your help! hvianna Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2012 732 7 18 Male IT Analyst / Webmaster Brazil #9 hvianna, Oct 16, 2016 I can confirm 33,200 coins plus 5 crystals to repair the Steampunk clothes. I'm glad you guys are willing to improve the inventory and make the game more balanced. It's a really fun game, I love the crafting system, but it can be really frustrating at times - I once lost a great helmet from a chest because my inventory was full and I didn't had enough crystals to expand. And I reiterate that I'm willing to pay $5 for unlimited energy, but I won't spend more cash on consumables (already bought a pack of 100 crystals to try and support you guys). hvianna Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2012 732 7 18 Male IT Analyst / Webmaster Brazil #10 hvianna, Oct 19, 2016 After the update I've been getting a decent amount of crystals from the mines, and the time to recharge energy seems to have been significantly reduced. So I decided to buy the coin doubler IAP, I think it's fair enough and really helps with the repair expenses of higher grade gear. Now my only complaint is the limited inventory. I'm a completionist and really dislike the idea of destroying items I've crafted :/ Chen93 Active Member Mar 7, 2013 34 0 0 #11 Chen93, Oct 21, 2016 Still very early in the game but it seems you get significantly more money doing the heroics once per day than a regular mine. I mean even the first heroic level seems to give more money than some of the level 20 regular dungeons. I may end up buying the coun doublet. As for repair costs with gems, is there any way to see that before making something? I have a special blueprint that costs gems to make so I figure that will cost gems to repair, but I just got a second special blueprint with no gem cost and am wondering if that too will cost gems to repair. Requiring premium currency for repairs does feel pretty bad IMHO, but if you could at least see at least see it first it would help. Thank you for your continued support! The new event and costumes look fun, and the reduction of repair costs is certainly welcome! I have some more suggestions: - Add different hair styles and skin color options, and maybe some other cosmetic stuff that we could spend our coins on, for further customization of our miner; - Add some visual effect (glow?) for legendary fully imbued gear (just for show on the clan list! ); - Add some legend of what kind of enemies and obstacles can be found on each mine - this would be *really* helpful for missions like 'kill 1000 spiders' and such; Edit: elaborating a bit on this idea, intensity indicators would be great, something like: Spiders: ++ Worms: + Rocks: +++ Bombs: +++++ Lava: ++ - Add some visual cue while we are under the effect of the Mandrake Root. I keep getting extra hits because I don't know when the effect is over and controls are back to normal; - Improve the clan suggestions (the "clans you may like" section). Being in a good clan with active players really helps a lot in earning crystals, but right now the suggestions seem to be completely random. I suppose it's not that easy to implement that, but the ideal would be to suggest clans with more active players and about the same level as the user as possible. Well I really hope the game is doing well and you guys can keep updating it for a long time, because I've been having a lot of fun! Chen93 Active Member Mar 7, 2013 34 0 0 #17 Chen93, Oct 26, 2016 Liking the uodate so far. The premium currency to repair things is getting a bit anniyong though. I've hit several non-special recipes that seem to need them now, but with no apparent rhyme or reason behind it. I have a necklace that requires premium currency to repair but another that is strictly better that doesn't. It doesn't seem to be blocking progression since there are a number of items that are similar in stats but its still rather confusing. Also the events that come up seem pretty restrictive. Maybe I'm just bad but trying to get the main prize seems exceedingly tough with the once per day limitation on the event dungeons. Averaging 5 bats over 10 days for halloween seems pretty rough. Forget some of the other 2 day events I saw like collect X ingredients (dont recall the number but with only 2 chances it seemed really high). Tze New Member Oct 29, 2016 3 0 0 #18 Tze, Oct 29, 2016 Great App! Hi! Just want to say great app! I too have supported you by buying the crystals. I have some suggestions! - The revive button after you die in a mine is too close! its very easy to accidentally press it and u lose 50 crystals and get revived with 10hp, even though you do not wat to revive. I have experienced this many times when I press too fast! - Maybe another crystal/rewards like the clan rewards to top scorers for each mine? since you have the leaderboard. - agree with many other gamers, the price to repair items is much higher than the rewards from mines, chests and missions. this always makes us lose alot of coins and unable to accumulate more unless we keep playing easier mines without equipment to save on repair costs. similarly for the magic dust. I had to replay mine 12 just to keep getting the 2 items to make simple pickax and destroying it for magic dust. - further to the point above, sometimes the personal and clan missions' rewards do not match the effort. getting rid of 1648 spiders might only give u 1648 coins, whereas another easier mission such as getting 3000 ingredients will get you 3000 coins. And I wonder how many missions and mines you need to complete just to repair your item (my repairs can range from 6000 gold to 10000+ gold and some require crystals, after the latest update). And again really interesting game here! thumbs up! ps. can anyone confirm if the gold x2 upgrade is worth it? i do not wish to pay $$$ but still not be able to save money to get items. the items in the shops are easily millions of coins and im sure we r no where near it. hvianna Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2012 732 7 18 Male IT Analyst / Webmaster Brazil #19 hvianna, Oct 29, 2016 Last edited: Oct 29, 2016 I never worried about coins after I bought the doubler. As I had mentioned before I also cant figure out the rhyme or reason behind some items needing crystals to repair. I also recently updated most of my items and now everything is back to only having a gold cost. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
