If you can't spare a dollar on someone's hard work when your on the fence about it then I don't know what to say. I understand if you do it over and over then it can add up but it sucks for the developer. Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #9 Repulsa, Sep 13, 2016 It's not how much the game costs with me it is that I have ended up spending .99 for games in the past that were pretty much f2p with the IAP being more energy to fill energy timers and such in which case I wasted a buck. So I just like to know up front what the additional IAP are lightbrazer Member Mar 10, 2013 10 0 0 #10 lightbrazer, Sep 13, 2016 Last edited: Sep 13, 2016 The Iap are hoecakes stones and wood. Each area of the map can only be mined so many times before it runs out and you need to sleep to let time pass for it to regenerate. Additionally your tools break and need to be reconstructed to gather things. If your impatient you can just pay a buck and gain 30 resource or pay 9 bucks for 800 resource. Is it needed? No not at all. You can create a farm right in your own home that generates them as well and you can easily chop a tree and mine rock to make a pick axe to get more rock if you want to. The game is basically a resource management game. You chop a tree to get wood but it wears out your axe. You use the wood and stone to make another but eventually the tree needs time to regrow. While it is you go farm other things. Meanwhile your stamina and hunger go down so you need to eat sleep and drink as well as poop and shower. Collect stuff and repeat. Longer version: This could be a good survival game in a primitive / stoneage setting, which is what I wished for when I impulse bought it. Plus side first: it was only a buck, and I played for over an hour, so I can't complain about that. About the game as game ... well, different story: It falls flat, and hard. The "face smashed, broken bones, 12 hours in ER, 100 stitches and some welding" kind of hard. It's not even a resource management game, it's a resource gathering loop, with - imnaaho - bad design decisions at almost every step. Starts out nice enough, with some simple and adequate tasks: e.g. gather berries to eat, get water because you are thirsty, get a crude axe to chop some wood for a fire, etc. Good start with a lot of potential, and quite charming and lowkey actually. I'll take down-to-earth stuff like this beginning over high(key) fantasy any day. For comparison, look at King of Dragon Pass for a game that got that part down right, and with excellence. Unfortunately it goes rapidly downhill from there: your tools break way too fast, and for many structures they get consumed as resources too. And you need a metric f-ton of resources for basically anything more involved than ... I wanted to write "taking a dump", but even for that - building a latrine - you need an amount of wood more befitting the Trojan Horse Turns from interesting into a boring and tedious gathering loop way too fast. Also, I found the crafting goes overboard and option overkill. A lot less would have been more here. I do see a lot of potential and what could be an interesting storyline (didn't follow it far enough to judge). @Locojoy: If you are interested, I can writeup a detailed critique with what I consider improvements.
