I didn't see any ads or IAP's to add anything. But I wanted to throw down for the Medium tip jar. Medium is $2.99. I'm guessing the Small is $0.99 and Large may be $4.99? But don't quote me. And as far as I can see this is just optional to show support. forceofhabit Well-Known Member Feb 5, 2014 60 0 6 Bristol, UK http://forceofhab.it/ #5 forceofhabit, Sep 9, 2016 Thanks you both! If you have some ideas for future-tiles / systems, I'm currently all ears for the first update. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #6 Misguided, Sep 9, 2016 Can we get a way to turn off the "bounciness" and also the slight pulsation every time a move is made, please? All the gratuitous visuals, really, including the houndstooth background animation. This is terribly distracting. And a minor nitpick, but combining numbers doesn't feel great. A little too much movement is required, IMO, but that's probably a relatively personal thing. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #7 esty8nine, Sep 9, 2016 It should prob be, if you want to keep dragging the numbers along you should be able to instead of have to swipe let's say, left then lifting finger to swipe left again bobish Well-Known Member Jun 8, 2013 143 0 16 #8 bobish, Sep 10, 2016 Just starting to play around with this. Trying to figure out if the stacked tiles require guessing or trial and error in memorizing the board when you replay? Seems like a cool game if guessing isn't involved. paulkane Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2012 1,102 0 36 Library automaton Denver #9 paulkane, Sep 10, 2016 Played a few levels this afternoon. I love my puzzles, but the gameplay was basic and altogether too repetitive to hold my interest. I'm sure the levels get harder the further you play, but I wasn't excited enough making 9's to find out. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #10 esty8nine, Sep 10, 2016 I was also wondering that, one of the dailys yesterday there was a huge board and tons of stacked tiles, so at that point you just go through the whole board till you get to the end or stuck to find out if you should start over ? There are a lot of ways to handle the stacks so is there multiple solutions or just keep guessing ? forceofhabit Well-Known Member Feb 5, 2014 60 0 6 Bristol, UK http://forceofhab.it/ #11 forceofhabit, Sep 10, 2016 I'd actually like to have done this instead - much more like Dots or Twofold Inc. Better reward-feel for combining multiple tiles. Maybe I'll re-visit this in future, but it might be too late now? All of the puzzles I hand-designed in a way so that it shouldn't be trial-and-error or guesswork. The daily puzzles may feel a bit like this, especially when there are lots of stacks, but you should be able to determine the solution just from analysing the board. Either way, yes, I would like to look at improving the procedural generation. I usually try to clear the bigger numbers first. Dunno though. I may reduce the stacks a bit. esty8nine Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 1,044 0 0 #12 esty8nine, Sep 10, 2016 ^ I'll give it a try with that in mind jonwilf Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2014 91 1 8 #13 jonwilf, Sep 12, 2016 Last edited: Sep 12, 2016 Ok, could be me being dense, but I am completely stumped on the 'add to the stacks to make nine' level. That rule is a bit obtuse so I tried not to use it later on in the hard levels. Started working on an extra puzzle pack - some new tile types, as shown in the PWYW popup. Almost 3 years since the last update... We've added 20 new puzzles to the iOS release - with a new tile type, the hue-shifting wildcard! This tile can combine with any other number to sum nine. If you're making a minimalist game or know someone who is, it might be useful to them! For anyone who might be interested, I've put together a little video that shows how the daily puzzles are generated. This will definitely spoil the magic as a player, so only advised viewing for other devs wanting to do similar things to makenines! Would love to hear feedback, as usual. - A (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?
