And thanks for the 500 Achievements points ha ha. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #5 unexpect3rd, Sep 7, 2016 You got the 500 points already? Was there a bug of some sort? It's my first time implementing achievements. And thanks for the support all the way I figured i should be sticking to making puzzle games. THE NETHERLANDS #6 ROGER-NL, Sep 7, 2016 No I don't got em yet, I wanted to thank you for impementing them not every dev. does Achievements, I only played 10 levels so far. Sorry for the misunderstanding. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #7 unexpect3rd, Sep 7, 2016 Haha no worries. I'm not an achievement hunter myself, so it's hard to gauge how many players are actually interested in achievements. The first 1.5 hour of release, I accidentally left the IAP at 0$, lucky for those who bought it for free haha. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Anyway just FYI, I am already in the midst of testing out a new mode that will be added in a coming update. Its a ... less relaxing mode since... ranking is involved. Yep it will be making use of the GC leaderboard. Not sure if I will revise the IAP price by then (though it also can be unlocked by completing the Stage Mode) ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #10 ROGER-NL, Sep 7, 2016 Just got the first Achievement in endless mode, the game is a great puzzle game I have to say. Some people I know off, I am not naming names they want most of the time a move counter, I don't mind if the game has no move counter it's more relaxed this way, but a new mode could be cool, maybe a tip for another mode is to add a move counter and the people with the least moves comes on top of the Leaderboard, but it's just a thought. Meshugenah Games Well-Known Member Aug 4, 2016 97 4 8 #11 Meshugenah Games, Sep 7, 2016 This is really fun! Some suggestions: I second the idea of a move counter. Also, the board is pretty small in landscape mode on my iPod 5 (landscape mode is fine). Otherwise, nice job. I will be playing this for awhile. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #12 unexpect3rd, Sep 8, 2016 Brilliant idea guys!, I'll work that mode into the update as well @meshugenah Yea, the landscape mode was pretty much meant for iPad players. For a smaller screen, you can still play the game "sideways" when you lock the game in portrait mode. The game is designed that way with minimal to no text so even without the game rotating, you can still play in any orientation. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #13 y2kmp3, Sep 8, 2016 Thanks to Roger-NL for the recommendation. Also add my vote for move counter and par score for each level. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #14 unexpect3rd, Sep 9, 2016 @Roger-NL and y2kmp3 and all you guys who downloaded the game, thank you for the support. I will deliver the update with the new modes in the coming weeks. unfortunately, despite things happening at the back and how i thought this was the closest i had ever got to getting a major feature, think shift currently has only obtain a "best new game" feature spot in the China app store (that's worse exposure than my last couple of games). Basically, I am done burning all my savings and will have to take up a full-time job to stay alive. I will stick to my words and deliver the update, then the store will have one less trashy game maker. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #15 ROGER-NL, Sep 9, 2016 That's sad to hear, hope you do okay in the future. Just curious why do you give your own game 4 out of 5 stars, or is this ment to be funny like your name. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #16 unexpect3rd, Sep 9, 2016 Nah it's not for funny sake, haha. I know my games are still lacking compared to many other games out there, but yet this game was made to the best of my efforts, that's why not 3, not 5, but 4, lol. I am a bit surprised by your declaration, however, given that this game has just been released. Are you referring to your previous titles? I actually remember playing one of your previous titles, Singularity. It is, in part, because of that game I took interest in this one. Regardless, please know that from me (at least) you are a very talented game designer. unexpect3rd Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2011 369 2 18 Mobile Game Developer (Fulltime as well as indie) Singapore http://www.unexpect3rd.com #20 unexpect3rd, Sep 9, 2016 @Roger-NL and @y2kmp3 thanks guys, your kind words meant a lot. If you've played Singularity, then you probably know, I have been at this for many years now. From full-time game programmer + off-hours indie to this year i jumped in to become full time indie, many years have passed, and i feel like i had given up too much to make games (i had no financial backings, so i had to make it up with time and effort), especially that I am not young anymore. All the toiling is/has taken its toll on me. Or maybe its just me in my mid-life crisis, haha. I'd looked around for a job as a game designer... but seem like in my country, the studios who are able to afford a game designer position are all into F2P social games (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
