You take on the role of Miku, a young girl who has brought her wounded brother to the city in their small fishing boat. Navigate the flooded city streets by boat, scale the drowned buildings, and use your telescope to scour the city for the supplies needed to save your dying sibling. As you explore the city at your own pace, you encounter the habitat that flourishes in this colorful place and discover hidden objects that piece together the story of a broken world and a broken family. Game Features - Vast outdoor environments with a rich, colorful and vibrant habitat present the player with a beautiful place to linger during the day or night, and encounter the mysterious remnants that watch you from the rooftops. - A serene and relaxing game experience; take your time to enjoy the sunrise and beautiful vistas, listen to the sound of the ocean, or observe the playfulness of the creatures that inhabit this place. There is only one pace in this game and that’s your own. - Discover the hidden objects that piece together the story of redemption, sacrifice and determination, and learn more about how the city came to be this way. - Cruise through the city streets in your small powered fishing boat, using your telescope to identify which of the various buildings contain supplies and mark them on your map. - Discover the best path to the objects you spotted from afar. Dock your boat at tall buildings and landmarks and climb the vines, ladders, ledges and pipes as increasingly difficult navigation puzzles. - Developed by an independent studio based in Australia, consisting of AAA veterans who have previously worked on the BioShock series, with music from BAFTA award winning composer Jeff van Dyck. Indie PC ports are IOS's salvation right now, propping the platform up like Atlas bearing the weight of the Earth. Any IOS-only game that attempts to do something of this scale tends to be riddled with sloppy errors. Can't wait to dig into this. The steam reviews make it seem like exactly my scene. It's pushing iOS to its limits. Even my 6S is hurting a bit. I now see why very few devs try to bring us fully open worlds in Unreal! Have a few videos uploaded. First one had some glitchiness, but I left it up for honesty's sake. Try not to judge the game too harshly on it. It really is pushing our devices hard. Second video is a lot nicer and I got the hang of things a bit more there, too. First video: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Second video (much nicer): Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I'm still finding the controls a little weird. But there's no combat, no platforming, and no fail state really. So it's not ideal, but also not the end of the world. And the more time I spend with it, the more comfortable I get with the controls. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #13 y2kmp3, Sep 7, 2016 Very interesting. I was indeed very surprised by how harsh some of the reviews were for this game, especially given the impressive looking trailer. And it could be a relaxing little get away considering it's also 1/4th the price. Also fun to take snapshots. I spent most of a 30-min video trying to get perfect wildlife photos! I noticed something strange is going on, too. So I am interested in seeing what happens in the story. It seems like the hidden journal pieces are mostly to give people something to do if they want to spend more time exploring past the main storyline? That's what it seems like to me. So you have some goals and a way to keep track of how much you've seen. bebo_beta2002 Well-Known Member Jan 6, 2010 641 0 16 #19 bebo_beta2002, Sep 7, 2016 Does it drain battery and make device hotter? iphone 6s AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #20 AppUnwrapper, Sep 7, 2016 Last edited: Sep 7, 2016 I have an Otterbox so I don't really notice when it gets hot. The game does seem to glitch out a bit sometimes when you've been playing a while (see the very end of my second video). (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
