I'll be checking it out! slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #3 slewis7, Aug 24, 2016 I hav played a handful of levels and I really like this. Also, the production values are excellent. Definitely check it out! It has some sort of energy system in place that requires watching an ad after playing a generous number of levels (or buying energy), but there is also an IAP to remove ads for just 99 cents. The game is well worth a dollar and hopefully this IAP will eliminate the energy system. FiloMJ Well-Known Member May 16, 2015 1,407 22 38 Male #4 FiloMJ, Aug 24, 2016 but timer with opt-in ads would'nt be better? I ALWAYS prefer a timer than an ADS. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #5 slewis7, Aug 24, 2016 I think the description of a timer with opt-in ads would be describing how this game is implemented (at least before buying the remove ads IAP). I think the $0.99 only gets rid of the energy system? I keep landing on "gifts" that are really just offers to get in-game currency at a special price. And there are characters that are unlocked by watching 20 ads each?? I unlocked a character just by playing but I don't have access to it -- it wants me to pay 99 gems for it. This makes no sense. Has anyone found a way to just make this premium without all the nonsense? Edit: There isn't even a way to remove ads or energy permanently, from what I can tell. Only a $0.99 purchase for 24 hour energy. This is the worse monetization for a puzzle game I've seen...maybe ever? They just threw in everything they could think of without stopping to think if it works for their type of game. What a shame. It's also grayed out, while all other icons are bright. How did you remove ads? And if so, did it do anything for the energy system or are you still stuck with it? Trying to make sense of this game's monetization schemes. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #9 slewis7, Aug 24, 2016 Clicking the "No Ads" brought up the App Store dialog to enter password to,confirm my purchase for 99 cents. I did not buy it yet however, so I can't confirm whether it gets rid of the energy system; some of the new releases look shinier to me ;-) AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #10 AppUnwrapper, Aug 24, 2016 Wonder why I can't get that button to work. But also, which ads would it get rid of? Would it make all the characters automatically unlock that normally unlock by watching 20 ads each? Yeah, I think I'm just gonna move on to something else. korkidog Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 12, 2012 153 0 16 Illinois #11 korkidog, Aug 24, 2016 I was going to download this game until I read about the $.99 unlock that isn't so much that. I'll skip this game. rza422 Active Member Apr 22, 2014 42 5 8 #12 rza422, Aug 25, 2016 Played the beta for this and it's a lovely game! Graphically looks great and the puzzles are very relaxing. Haven't tried with monetisation though so may be a bit wary of that. dib Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2011 307 0 16 #13 dib, Aug 25, 2016 For the record: even if you buy the no-ad option, it will still leave all the other content locked and you would need to watch ads to unlock characters.
