It is a fresh way to play the 2 styles of gaming within one game. Nicely balanced and loads of fun. forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #4 forsakenxe, Aug 24, 2016 So this game had 3 different things to do: - match 3s on the color that is required (e.g. To get villagers) - match swords to attack an enemy, hearts to heal, mana to power your magic in trying to defeat an enemy. - some rapid matching for some quests or relatively chill matching for scores Basically it's a match 3 game with. A twist on matching different shapes of three colored blocks for different effect if you are in combat with a creature. You have 3 creatures to fight for you if one get's defeated the next one comes out. There is an energy system which cannot be removed, one recharge takes 15 minutes up to 5 charges. There is a clash royal like chest system, though I am not sure how to acquire chests reliable. IAPs for diamonds with real money which can give you stamina or gold etc., gold to continue your run if you fail. Some issues: I was not able to finish the first campaign (step 10 particularly) cause I got destroyed by the boss. If he hits swords everytime you die for sure, I was not really able to prevent that. I ran out of energy after 5 levels, got a free refill and ran out at the boss again... does not seem to be that forgiving and 5 energy is used up very fast. If you get a lot of bonus gems that explode after you finish a level there is a huge fps drop (I guess because of the effects), which should not be there (Ipad air 2, iOS 10 beta 6). I really do not like that if your objective is to match X origami and you match like 9 by building chains that your additional orgami matches do not count towards the next target. This makes chains that normally feel awesome and rewarding in other games feel like a waste here. Overall the energy system seems kind of obstructive and hinders the fun of the game. There is no option to remove it and a clash royale chest (rarity and i think there is also a level system) do have me worried quite a bit, even there is no PvP in sight yet, I guess it will be there at some point. I don't think I will invest much more time into this. Presentation was solid though, good graphics, decent sounds, matching felt at least some what fun but I feel like there are much better games with this mechanic out there (e.g. Gems of war and that was in 2014!). I'll give it a pass. bigghurt Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2012 203 1 18 #5 bigghurt, Aug 24, 2016 Beating the first boss comes down to a little luck. Basically you have to sacrifice your first two origami so you can line up a magical blast on your last character Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #6 Misguided, Aug 25, 2016 Last edited: Aug 27, 2016 This is pretty fun despite the f2p trappings. Very pretty to look at and the ties to the movie seem rather flavorful (haven't seen the movie, but referring to stuff like origami monsters, etc.). The inability to disable hints is even more annoying than usual for a Bejeweled clone because of the speed and intensity of the throbbing. Aside from those things, one of the nicer Bejeweled clones. Edit: at least until you hit the difficulty wall. Doesn't take all that long before enemies are strong enough to one-shot you with anything you can throw at them. Still possible to win fights, but you have to be both careful and lucky. It's frustrating that I've not seen a way to tell what level enemies are. So I don't know if enemies have stupid hp/damage because their level is sky high or what. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
