While Lifeline brought this stuff to life, I think Mr. Robot feels much more...organic right now. I certainly don't feel like I'm talking to a game and I'm kinda intimidated right now. Very cool stuff. The pedigree of the developers of Oxenfree and TellTale along with the subject matter was enough of a reason to hit "buy". So far, as someone who been growing bored of the recent batch of text-based mobile games, this one evokes a darker, real-world spin and with enough intrigue that hits closer to home to keep my interest going. I hope this game doesn't have too many huge breaks where you're just waiting. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #6 mzinn, Aug 17, 2016 Loved all the Lifeline games. I'll have to check this one out. Looks promising! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #7 anthony78, Aug 17, 2016 You really should give season 2 another try. It's definately a slow burn at first but things have really picked up in recent episodes (especially last week, which was fantastic). I love the show and it was just announced that it was renewed for season 3. So that and a new game? Awesome day for Mr. Robot fans! Not a huge fan of Lifeline games but this is a no brainer for me. But I had all the episodes on my DVR and just never wanted to watch it even when I had nothing else to watch (slow summer for TV). My DVR recently imploded and it's all gone. But I may still give it another chance, especially if this game continues to hold my attention. I really hope this isn't the pace of the game. :/ currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #10 currymutton, Aug 17, 2016 Love the show! For S2, the first 3 (count the premier as one episode) is a bit slow, mostly focus on Elliot's mental state (not spoiling too much) and relation. Then the latest 2 takes off with a *BOOM*. Trust me! As for the game: it is kinda like "text" adventure, right? AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #11 AppUnwrapper, Aug 17, 2016 I think I quit on the third one -- right after he got that phone call, I think? It just couldn't hold my attention. But good to know it picks up after that. Same thing happened with me in S1. There was an episode I dragged my feet on and finally pushed through months later, then enjoyed the rest of it. As for the game, I'm really surprised that it has such a big break right off the bat. Aren't these games supposed to suck you in before throwing long breaks at you? Levanax Active Member Apr 2, 2013 25 2 3 #12 Levanax, Aug 17, 2016 Does anyone remember the PC game Majestic? Is this similar at all? Been looking for something like Majestic for a really long time. For example, it's around 940 pm EST and I bought the game about an hour ago. I've been pinged three times. Maybe the frequency will pick up mañana. If it's an hour wait, then 3 min of game the whole way through, I'll forget about it altogether. Also, notifications don't seem to be working for me. No little "1" when there's a new message. Which means I'm constantly checking, just to see nothing. At least, I am now. Until I forget about it. Disappointed so far. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #15 mzinn, Aug 17, 2016 I think it will be at times. Very similar to The Martian Official game, once I got used to the pace I really enjoyed it. Sometimes it's hard to have to wait but it can add to the atmosphere of the game. Also, notifications not working for me is a huge problem. Are they working for you? I don't know how you can keep up with a game like this without notifications. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #17 mzinn, Aug 17, 2016 Last edited: Aug 17, 2016 Agree. I wish there was more at the start mostly because I was enjoying it so much! I'll stick with it & see how it goes.
