Is it like Spelunky? coloncruncher Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2016 76 2 8 #6 coloncruncher, Aug 10, 2016 Loving this game. Don't usually like Rogue-like games (hate losing progress), but this is so tight and so fun I can see myself playing this a lot. It feels like a Ravenous game for sure, so if you like any of their other stuff I would say go for it for sure. My only gripe so far is that I get some graphical glitches fairly often (iphone6Splus). Quazonk Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2011 1,102 4 38 #7 Quazonk, Aug 10, 2016 It's nothing like Spelunky, it's an auto-runner with dungeon crawler elements. I love those Ravenous art style graphics! Also nice decision to have it procedurally generated. That's some awesome replayability right off the bat! The only thing is you should have a gameplay video on the AppStore or here. I always look for the video. Most if not all developers are releasing these auto-runners and I'm very much tired of them. Plus we need more support for MFi game pad games... That's like saying a 3rd-person shooter is dumbed down because it's not in 1st-person. Autorun platformers can be just as challenging and even more so than a traditional platformer. See: Lost Socks, the Rayman trilogy, Wind-up Knight, and many more. Trust me, iOS has PLENTY of traditional platformers. It's my favorite genre, and on my phone currently I have roughly 80 traditional style platformers, and those are just the ones I've deemed super great enough to keep installed. I've played many more than that that I end up deleting after beating. I agree we can always use more good platformers, but I don't agree it should be at the expense of a developer compromising their vision for the game just for the superficial sake of having it be a "real" platformer in certain peoples' eyes.
