It is even better than the screenshots. There are lots of unlockable things and upgrades. If you loved Pokemon Snap, this is a must buy. If you didn't play it, you need to download this. It's a very fun game with no shenanigans. It's my Game of the Week. So may I ask how much difference is this game comparing to Snapimals? How many dino to unlock in total? Also Snapimals have 3 islands to unlock, this one seems to have only one by the screenshots? Are there any planned update to add new contents? Sorry for all the questions, but so far it looks like Snapimals have more content than this, and I've fully enjoyed Snapimals spending less than the cost of this game, so I'm debating if I should get this one... Even starter pack is $5 on there so I'm curious. taoyingying Well-Known Member Jul 15, 2016 85 0 6 #13 taoyingying, Aug 4, 2016 I don't think there is a way to get rid of the energy system. I haven't played the game for about a month, but if I remember correctly, you get 3 rolls filled up in 2 hours (that's the max you can get for auto refill. purchased rolls don't count in the max). It used to be a lot longer when the game just launched, but developers responded to players complains and shortened the refill time. Also by collecting gifts and garbages in the park, you sometimes get free rolls and gems. Personally I don't mind that timer. At the beginning, you get a lot of free rolls from achieving easy goals, so that will keep you playing for quite some time. After you unlock a lot of animals and photos, it's a matter of perfecting each photo, which can be quite tricky and repetitive, so I don't think I even want to play more than 3 rolls at a time. Upgrading buildings take time too, but usually a few hours or one day. Since it takes days or even weeks to collect coins and materials for upgrade, I don't think that's too bad either. I purchased the starter pack when it was on sale, so paid about $2 I think? Also got gems from park gifts and achievements, so I have about 200 gems right now. I actually haven't spent any gem yet because I don't see the need :/ ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #14 ste86uk, Aug 4, 2016 Never played a game like this but it is intriguing Putosaure Well-Known Member Oct 27, 2010 46 0 0 #15 Putosaure, Aug 4, 2016 Last edited: Aug 4, 2016 It's weird but it seems that some dinosaurs are invisible for me. The core game is pretty small with only one island to play on, this means there doesn't feel like there's much to do. Without the pay/energy gates the game becomes a bit too simplistic given there's not much of a goal to be had once you remove the limitations without fixing the balance issues that arise from it and it moves pretty quick without them. Given more expansion and something to actually aim towards and it could be a decent game but it feels like they worked backwards with Snapimals being the superior game that should be premium and Jurassic Go being the smaller scale FTP offering. BlottoBrah Well-Known Member Apr 12, 2013 110 0 0 US #19 BlottoBrah, Sep 14, 2016 This game is a gem. Haven't played anything like it before, and I'm hooked on it. My kids love it too. I couldn't understand why previous poster preferred the free Snapimals over this timer free version, but after spending some time with both, I understand. With Jurassic Go, it's just the one island and the only objective is to take pics (particularly ones you don't have yet) in order to advance. Since this is the crux of the game, it's fine. It's just that it's a VERY streamlined and lean version of Snapimals. Game is still a blast to play, but does lack that depth previous poster mentioned. Ideal version for me would be to keep 90% of Snapimals intact with Jurassic Go combined into it. Remove the timers for upgrades and getting rolls, but keep the resources, coins, and gems aspect of it. Maybe fine tune the upgrade costs to relieve some of the grinding.
