There's something fun about the gold nuggets gathering on the blocks, and then come tumbling down when you take out the supporting blocks. forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #3 forsakenxe, Jul 23, 2016 Last edited: Jul 23, 2016 Well done brick breaker. Nothing fancy, just super polished and solid classic brick breacker action. Endless mode, any purchase starting at 99 cents removes adds, lots of upgrades, collecting gold while playing (falling from destroyed blocks). I like it! It you remotely enjoy this genre, give this a look! 2 suggestions: Faster ball movement: the base movement speed is a bit low for my personal taste and the upgrade one is perfect. Maybe there could be some changes in this regard. The upgrade that slows down your pad at the bottom should be red, not green, as it is a hazard. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ad server. It hasn't crashed while playing a level. I hope the devs join this discussion, because I'm wondering how removing the ads by unlocking a consumable works if you had to reinstall the app, or also had it on a different device. Since any gold purchase works, I'm going to buy the 0.99 pack and see if that fixes the crashing. (Edit) purchasing the 0.99 gold pack did not disable ads; at least not when playing a mine level. So that's annoying. PsYcHoNoVa Well-Known Member Oct 20, 2013 391 0 0  #5 PsYcHoNoVa, Jul 24, 2016 Enjoyable game. Roleki Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2012 432 0 0 #9 Roleki, Jul 24, 2016 So my initial imps are, starting with the good: 1. beautiful graphics and animation 2. music and sound effects really match the gameplay 3. power ups are good 4. gameplay is varied with two modes - temple and mine The "not so good": 1. power ups don't last long - I feel they should last much longer or until the next power up (or down" 2. didn't like it when the paddle exploded without warning in the mine - what was that, time up? 3. Didn't like how the tutorial forces you to spend your first 1000 gold to teach you how to buy a power up you might not even want - almost deleted there and then! Most games nowadays "gift" you the currency you use in a tutorial buy - players' feelings and all that. Ads feel a little invasive, not friendly. We all want to be paid for our work, but "asking" wins over "demanding". I played the normal mode, and am still getting an ad after every level. I wrote to the dev on their site, but haven't heard back yet. This is why I don't like ad removal tied to consumable IAP. Even if they fix it in a patch, I can't just restore my purchase. It's irksome. Geta-Ve Well-Known Member Apr 4, 2011 257 0 16 Canada http://www.mooviewgames.com/ #13 Geta-Ve, Jul 24, 2016 Gotta say, THIS is how you build upon a tried and true formula. The gameplay itself is very satisfying, as is the upgrade system. And the two modes compliment each other very well. The mine mode in particular could be a game in and of itself. As a fledgling developer, this is an extremely inspiring game. There are definitely bugs though. And am hoping to see them fixed in a patch or update. Especially if the IAP ad removal system isn't working, as some have stated. That in itself is a huge thing to have broken. As soon as I get word it's fixed I'll definitely throw a buck the devs way. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #14 orangecan, Jul 24, 2016 I'd have to agree with this it's a very good breakout game indeed. countBasil Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Aug 30, 2012 80 0 6 #15 countBasil, Jul 24, 2016 Just tested: I'm not getting ads (at least after repeatedly losing games intentionally) since bought $0.99 gold countBasil Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Aug 30, 2012 80 0 6 #16 countBasil, Jul 25, 2016 Oops did just see an ad after mining. Thank you all for your feedback and thoughts. We also see the crashes and we are working on the fix. It is also true that there is a bug with the iAPs and they don't remove the ads. We just submitted an update that will fix it and improve the stability. Don't worry, the game saves the iAP purchases (on device and in the cloud) even if it was a consumable and the ads will be removed. We would like to release new contents and features but of course the stability issues have the highest priority. Thanks you for playing Ancient Bricks.
