I've tried a few of 8floors free versions and haven't really been impressed but I think I might have to give this one a try.. The one thing holding me back is that according to the AppStore there is iap .. No problem if it is for cosmetics or faster unlock .. Maybe the developet will chime to explain the iap coloncruncher Well-Known Member Mar 14, 2016 76 2 8 #4 coloncruncher, Jul 21, 2016 I am so on the fence with this. I love picross type games, and have yet to find an iOS offering as engaging as any of the ones available on any of the Nintendo handhelds. I also don't like the idea that this isn't universal with separate versions for phone and iPad. I have also never been able to get into any of the Doodle God games, so the IP is definitely not any lure to me. Would love to hear impressions on this one. geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #5 geoelectric, Jul 21, 2016 It shows as Universal to me. pseudoart Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2013 59 0 0 #6 pseudoart, Jul 21, 2016 Impressions I bit the bullet and got it, so impressions. Gameplay is as expected which is good. There are, however, problems. I'm playing on an iPhone 6 and the board is very small. It's very easy to miss the tile you want to press, with it being so small. It's frustrating, and there's no way to zoom in or out. Maddingly, the game only plays in landscape mode with bars on either side of the screen, not utilizing the full screen. I couldn't find out where the iap came into play. You earn gold for completing a level which you then use to unlock new levels. I couldn't find anywhere to buy more gold, so I assume there isn't a paywall. All in all, it feels a bit dated and frustrating on phone. One of my favorite picross is Hungry Cat Picross, and of course Paint it Back (I see it just had an update) (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
