It has been my most anticipated title since the announcement, and still remember how much I loved it back on PSP when I imported it from Japan. I also played the earlier version on iOS but it wasn't very good. I'm so stoked, and glad that we also finally have a forum thread and I am looking forward to read impressions. If I create a New Zealand account (as I am located in Europe), how will I be able to buy a New Zealand iTunes gift card? You're paying for the gift card and for the app. No harm in that. Where can you get a card from? Try Offgamers. They're reliable as **** and I've gotten countless US iTunes gift cards and eShop cards from them. Dunno if they offer NZ cards though. Dimaya Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2012 85 0 0 #5 Dimaya, Jul 19, 2016 That's a good question. Offgamers doesn't have any gift cards for New Zealand. I just created a New Zealand Apple ID, so now I'm logged in and ready to buy Lumines. I just need to find a shop who actually sells these gift cards and sends the code online. Currently Lumines Puzzle & Music does contain two Packs. The Lumines Classic Package 1.. ..and the Original Lumines PSP Package 1... ...so for $4.49 (NZ) you aren`t getting the full Lumines Experience and some would probably already by now believe that the current Build (ver.0.1.4) behaves only like as an Teaser to make you want to buy some more of the Packages that for sure will follow sooner then later with the currently still missing InGame Store. So contentwise Lumines Puzzle & Music definitly has a huge gab at the current moment and while this made me kinda sad I still at the same time enjoyed the Game very much during the first hour I have played the Game so far. Considering that and taking into account that there might be more Content following at a later point for free for those of us who bought the Game ahead of the official Launch I would advise everyone to still hold back with buying the Game by now till the Developer does explain what Content the Final Build might come with and what Parts will be only available through the InGame Store. Conclusion: It`s Lumines but the current Build is still missing a couple of Music Tracks/Modes to go as far as to consider calling it a Full Game so wait with buying it till the Game does launch with the integrated InGame Store to make sure to don`t buy something you actually might afterwards regret if you had expected to get the full Lumines Game in return. Dimaya Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2012 85 0 0 #11 Dimaya, Jul 20, 2016 It all sounds promising, though I don't like how you can only turn the boxes one way, and if you want to change the direction you have to go to the options menu. Daxmort Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2009 154 0 0 United Kingdom #12 Daxmort, Jul 24, 2016 Last edited: Jul 24, 2016 So being the ridiculous Lumines fan that I am (over 150 hours logged in the original, 100 in 2, less than 20 in the original iPhone release back when I was still using a 3GS, and now roughly 50 in the Electronic Symphony Vita title), I decided to use the NZ account I'd made to download Pokémon GO, and basically bought myself an iTunes giftcard using one email address, sending it to another. I had to fudge the billing address (gave it a nonsense NZ address/post-code), but it accepted my card just fine. One emailed $10 gift card later, and I purchased Puzzle & Music. As others have said, whilst the game totes itself being a "complete experience," I felt a little underwhelmed regarding the selection of PSP classic skins. Pack 1 is very limited, and despite having the great Shinin' (which was an amazing nostalgia trip for me), that one 'album' is a little thin in songs. The 'Puzzle & Music' album (unique to this game, I'm guessing) has roughly double the amount of skins, half of which are unlocked at the start, the other half being unlocked after you reach certain difficulties or achievements, much like the avatars/powerup icons. The controls are pretty spot-on; it's clear, however, that they don't give the same necessary feedback and tactile response that the PSP/Vita do (but this is a given, what with it being a touch-screen), so I can't see myself ever managing to rack up the ridiculous 15+ block combos I used to. However, when I picked up the game, something about the whole thing threw me off. It didn't seem as intuitive as it had done on the consoles, even if it did have the same music; I figured I'd just lost my touch. I couldn't seem to accurately work out how the blocks should have been rotating, and why I always misjudged the amount of rotations I needed.. ..And then I realised that all I had to do was turn rotation clockwise, from counter-clockwise (the default). Again, still not going to be breaking my old records, but I now feel comfortable when playing, and it feels far more natural to me. So that's at least one tip I'd probably suggest to anyone that thinks it feels off; change the direction of the block rotation. To be honest, I almost never rotated them the opposite direction in the actual game anyway, which now seems to have been a good thing, given the lack of freedom in that area... I will however be buying the game officially when it arrives on the UK app store (just to show continued interest), and also will buy IAP if they release it. I love the series and want it to remain supported for a while. I do have my Vita, but nothing brings back memories like the old soundtrack and skins, and there are plenty of songs and designs I want to see there again.
