It's a lot of fun collecting and merging all the critters, and despite being freemium is really fair regarding its distribution of currency that I never felt forced to have to buy more (but there is an option to remove ads I'd recommend buying to support the developers, even though the ads aren't intrusive). I'll get a review up sometime later today hopefully, but this may be my game of the week so download it! djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #3 djstout, Jul 13, 2016 Very unlucky for the dev that Pokemon is out this week otherwise this game would have rocked the iTunes ranking antony.thai Well-Known Member Dec 1, 2009 2,084 13 38 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam #4 antony.thai, Jul 13, 2016 I think that this game has its own players. What I really like are the critter design. It's important that they feel unique and have their own charm and they do. Battles are super fast and streamlined, just like the entire game. It's a bit grindy though and I've come to the point were pretty much all of my critters have no health anymore. When you go to a lower tier planet you'll build a nice squad in no time. Also I've felt like it's smarter to use your coins to evolve your low health critters than to heal them. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #6 djstout, Jul 13, 2016 I followed the entire up coming thread and I was waiting for this one. If you're not a fan of the series, don't let that put you off this. Conversely, if you're a big fan like me, don't go in expecting Pokemon Z because this isn't it. It plays to its own strengths and the strengths of a mobile device brilliantly in my opinion. warahyuu Active Member Nov 10, 2015 26 0 0 #11 warahyuu, Jul 13, 2016 quite enjoying it on first glance. I figured it out you just need to follow the pieces and don't go off the 'trail' Just 'finished' the game, it's very short I think you could have 5 times the amount of levels and at the end of each solar system you get the upgrade to go from 5* -> 6* for example. Your units become obsolete after 15 minutes at the moment. Also maybe a % chance of a critical hit/block at the moment you can calculate if you will beat a boss straight away you really only need 2-3 critters that can survive > 3 hits so you can get a special off. Maybe also a % chance to not flee. Would be nice to gain some health back after battles as well Going to fill out my critter dex then unfortunately not really look at the game again until an update comes, definitely worth picking up just unfortunate that the progression is so quick edit: would also be cool if you combine two of the same to go up a star level with that critter because I like some of the lower level art work edit 2: if you don't capture the boss can you go back and get try again? the pieces are stil greyed out so seems you're S.O.L if you don't get it the first time i think i caught 1/6 bosses (nevermind just saw the boss again) KHALFRODO New Member Jul 13, 2016 3 0 0 #18 KHALFRODO, Jul 13, 2016 Nice alternative to Pokemon GO. However it needs optimisation for a pixel game. Huge battery drain. Phone gets really warm. My first battle already had me giving up coins to have a chance at grabbing the monster and I didn't earn enough to heal my monsters from that first battle! Healing costs way too much considering how few coins you earn from battle. And now combining costs coins? It didn't used to. Sorry, but the game is way too stingy. And if there's an IAP to make it more premium, I can't find it. Edit: Also, I accidentally tapped "Level Select" from the menu (I meant to change my party) and lair progress. I was right before the boss and now had to start the level over. Should be a prompt warning you about that! Edit 2: The game started me off with stronger monsters on my first battle because I installed over my beta save. So the first battle is not imbalanced at all. Will see how it progresses, but that explains my poor experience. So hope I didn't turn anyone off from the game with my earlier impressions! warahyuu Active Member Nov 10, 2015 26 0 0 #20 warahyuu, Jul 13, 2016 If you buy the 6k coins for 2.99 you get 12k coins and that was more than enough for the whole game so i guess you could consider that a premium unlock?
