Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #4 Amenbrother, Jul 7, 2016 Man the graphics are nuts in this game! forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #5 forsakenxe, Jul 7, 2016 Surprised to see that this game did not make waves on the forums yet. It is very polished smooth and the combat feels fantastic and impactful. If fantasy wars tactics is anything to go by, then this game should have very fair f2p mechanics as well but I am very early on and this is only theory. Highly recommended to check it out though. Seems polished at the very least. batmessiah Well-Known Member Sep 26, 2009 78 0 6 R&D Lab Technician http://www.what-is-sleep.com/ #6 batmessiah, Jul 7, 2016 Just finished the first 10 levels, and it's quite enjoyable. It reminds me of Kritika a bit, but better, since your gear actually changes the way your character looks. darrinsden Well-Known Member Jun 5, 2009 114 1 18 #7 darrinsden, Jul 8, 2016 Reminds me a lot of angel stone hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #8 hellscaretaker, Jul 8, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #9 Amenbrother, Jul 8, 2016 It does? Kinda similar to Implosion in depth, theoretically among the better for iOS. The graphics are more gorgeous than nearly anything on the platform. And there is a ridiculous, ridiculously written and even more ridiculously voiced story to go along. Plus tons of progression hooks, social mechanics and every freemium trick ever hatched in the darkest and drippiest corners of the EA Mobile torture dungeons. All the trappings of a social RPG classic/plague, but with the rare potential for skill-based combat. That's why it is such a shame that so far, the possibility for skill rarely seems to apply. If your stats are sufficient, PvE combat can always be resolved by holding the attack button and occasionally move a finger lazily over to a special attack button. If you are woefully underpowered, dodging and blocking makes little difference. Only in that rare window of slightly underpowered is there a fair challenge, and the excitement this battle system rightfully deserves. But even if, with the giant remake-reboot of Ire coming up, and Implosion bringing up the isometric hack-n-slash premium rear, I wonder if I can make room for similar but subpar combat mechanics, in a framework so laden with freemium trappings. (Perhaps this is why skill-based combat has been so rare in freemium RPGs. When stat and equipment progression drives IAP sales, there is little room or incentive to offer balanced, skill-focused opposition. It is kinda bizarre that the value of nearly any free game doesn't come down to content and presentation, but the interplay between the progression system and the freemium mechanics.) I suppose PvP might change all of this. I suppose there might be a max cap for stats and equipment. I suppose you can match up with opponents who have spent (or not spent) just the same amount of cash on IAP. I suppose there might be a hidden paradise of incredibly tall-telling heroes somewhere up there in the IAP-heavy clouds over the two realms of whatever, where combatants always meet on equal grounds and the cleverest tap-frenzy conquers all. If so, I wonder what the (literal) price of entrance is. If not, PvP is probably as fun as watching your energy timer recover. With just as much agency on your part over the outcome. What, you say you can pay to reduce the timer? Yeah, that pretty much completes the metaphor... senkoujin Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2013 417 0 16 #18 senkoujin, Jul 8, 2016 Hit Although I'm not a big fan of online-only games, HIT truly offers some things that stand out among the other F2P online games. Although this has the typical "mission/node"-based system, there is an unusually high level of lore in this game, and there is a lot of GOOD voice acting...kinda reminds me of Grandia II's VA cast. The game is from a Korean developer, and there are some minor grammar/punctuation mistakes here and there, but not enough to ruin the gaming experience. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous; I personally haven't seen this level of graphics on iOS; the only other game I could think of that comes close is Asphalt 8 (after the Metal updates). This game has a polished look to it, and so does the presentation...it just grabs you in. The IAPs are like the poster above me mentioned, they are EA/Gameloft level, so be wary of your patience and money, as this game will likely entice you beyond measure to buy things. Don't get me wrong, if you like the game, then by all means, spend your money and enjoy yourself.
