SUMMARY: Set in a dynamic open-world sandbox with an evolving conflict between three major splinter groups of humanity, players can freely be merchants, bounty hunters, pirates, miners, smugglers or wanderers. Your actions or in-actions, big or small carry consequences that are noticed by the inhabitants and factions. Empires will rise and fall, take a side, or sow the seeds of anarchy. Be immersed in a universe that's alive with random events offering pilots an opportunity for exploitation. Be involved in dynamic economies with logistical supply & demand at the mercy of a capitalistic merchant or a menacing pirate. Be the catalyst to decide the fate of humanity. FEATURES: * Full HD PC top-down space combat & trader sim, refined with intuitive controls & UI for mobiles. * Squad-RPG progression via skills, perks, ship upgrades & modules. * Deep trade system with dynamic supply & demand, affected by events, piracy & conflict. * Fluid real-time combat with tactical pause & a wide variety of weapons. * Resource gathering & looting of combat kills. * Dynamic factions will conquer & defend systems with fleet movements. Your actions, big or small, have a major effect on the tide of conquest! * Random events offer opportunities and also ensure no two game plays out the same. * Random encounters offer interesting side-quests or tough choices with major consequences. * Man & take to the sky in Corvettes, Frigates, Cruisers, Capitals and Carriers! * Clever enemies. Fast & agile ships will flank, large ships will broadside tank with their strong directional shields. * Take part in epic fleet battles with Capital Ships battling among support ships & hordes of combat drones! * Intelligent Squad AI, never be caught flying with stupid, ever. * Challenging, non hand-holding, but fair Rogue-like gameplay. --------------------------------------------------------- Additional notes: Please be aware, the game is English only. I am a solo developer with limited resources so supporting multiple languages is currently not possible. Recommended start: Merchant or Hunter. Pirate is not for newbies, it is very tough with every faction out to kill you on sight! Rogue-like mode is only recommended for expert players. It truly is challenging, however, special Capital Ships are available in this difficulty mode as a bonus. Thus we have to put a note or warning for users. Because I only have limited test devices (as well as beta testers), I did not have access to iPad 3/4 during development and testing so I cannot say if it works or not. My personal devices are: iPad Air (1st gen), iPad Mini 2, iPhone 6 Plus. However, the game is designed for Retina screen resolution, all the UI scaling is based on resolution as well as ratio. Oh, if there's no audio on your device, in the options menu, turn down/up the volume it will fix it for good. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3855096#post3855096 Edit: Someone with an iPad 3 contacted me, they may be brave enough to try. In theory iPad 4 *should* work, there's always the refund option. ps. Promise to get more test devices if I make some $. And the answer is a yes. These are some of the early Steam reviews the game received. Steam players often say its a real-time SR2. One of the first reviews I got mentioned it. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198002172050/recommended/414950/ http://steamcommunity.com/id/xcutex/recommended/414950/ http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197973473817/recommended/414950/ http://steamcommunity.com/id/Matalus/recommended/414950/ The iOS version has extra content (ships, weapons), features, bug-fixes that came along in patches to the PC version. More stream-lined but still retaining a lot of the depth. The UI and flight controls adapted to mobiles, with the aim of making it feel fluid and responsive, so you're never stuck fighting the UI/flight-stick or feeling dumbed down. karnaugh33 New Member Oct 14, 2012 1 0 0 #13 karnaugh33, Jun 1, 2016 Does this have controller support? If not, is it planned to be added later? AH_Phan Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2014 275 4 18 #14 AH_Phan, Jun 1, 2016 No, I made sure the on-screen UI enabled fluid controls that is very responsive. My game engine does not support controllers on iOS unfortunately. heringer Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2011 807 0 0 #15 heringer, Jun 1, 2016 Thank you for your honest answer. I guess I'll be playing it on my iPad Mini 2 (I assume it runs well on that device). I know there isn't an overall story, since it's a sandbox game, but is there small stories, dialogue, this kind of stuff or it's pure sandbox? luckystrikeguy Well-Known Member Sep 18, 2013 615 7 18 #16 luckystrikeguy, Jun 1, 2016 If anyone has any iPhone 6 impressions please share. If it's hard to play like baldurs gate for example then I'll probably have to pass. Not ragging on the developer here ,sometimes it just is what it is. AH_Phan Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2014 275 4 18 #17 AH_Phan, Jun 1, 2016 The iPad Mini 2 was my main development device. It runs well. There's lots of random encounters (dialogues), they most have multiple outcomes, some quite major. There's lots of chatter an dialogue overall. Your squad recruits have unique backgrounds and they do have a story and eventual mission (as they rank up). furion00 Member Apr 1, 2015 13 0 0 #18 furion00, Jun 1, 2016 So this is def not working on iphone 5 right? AH_Phan Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2014 275 4 18 #19 AH_Phan, Jun 1, 2016 Definitely unplayable even if it ran due to how small the screen size is. heringer Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2011 807 0 0 #20 heringer, Jun 1, 2016 That sounds pretty cool!
