All I know is the game sounded great so I did a search in the App Store in case of early release, and sure enough it showed up. I've already bought the extra packs!! polygonplay Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2011 143 1 18 http://www.polygonplay.com/ #5 polygonplay, May 18, 2016 Thank you Cccee so much for downloading and purchasing! Let me know if you need any help with the app! Cccee Well-Known Member May 8, 2012 250 0 0 #6 Cccee, May 18, 2016 The app is wonderful with gorgeous paintings. It's also not so difficult that a child couldn't play. I've only tried some of the free levels so far, so I don't know if the difficulty level varies or the size of the puzzles. My one suggestion regards to the size of the puzzle pieces. They are somewhat too large for the desktop area, so it makes it difficult to search for the piece you want. I've seen jigsaws that show the pieces in smaller size in a tray at the bottom, and then they zoom out larger when you select one. That's just one idea. Otherwise I love the game. It's intuitive, beautiful, and simple to navigate! Thanks. Duke12 Well-Known Member Oct 25, 2013 1,021 43 48 #7 Duke12, May 18, 2016 One of the buttons make it so they at the bottom in a row. Didnt try if they zoom though. polygonplay Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2011 143 1 18 http://www.polygonplay.com/ #8 polygonplay, May 18, 2016 Just like Duke12 said. Thank you Duke12! There is a button that puts all the pieces from the table to the tray and vice versa. Also you can zoom out(using pinch or the button in the menu) to have more space to arrange your pieces. By default the finished puzzle takes 75% of the screen area. You can zoom to 50% to have much more space. Additionally you can also drag the background/table to have even more space. Only thing you can't control is how the puzzle pieces are spread out when you start. It's like real puzzle, the pieces will be on top of each other, you have to do some work to find the correct piece. Using the tray makes it considerably easier, at least wit high piece counts. Thank you for all the feedback Cccee! Keep em coming whatever questions/suggestions you might have! Cccee Well-Known Member May 8, 2012 250 0 0 #9 Cccee, May 18, 2016 Thanks for the tips!! The update will come available as soon as Apple approves it. Currently if you have more than 164 pieces together and move them, they become faded. You can fix it by quitting and starting again. It will save automatically. You can also avoid it happening by not moving the large chunk. polygonplay Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2011 143 1 18 http://www.polygonplay.com/ #15 polygonplay, May 20, 2016 Valentia: I noticed you left a review in the App Store. Thank you so much for the support! Every review matters! 1.1 Update is waiting for Apple's review and includes the following changes: -- Bug fix: Puzzle pieces became faded/transparent when moving over 164 connected pieces -- Bug fix: Sometimes the magnifying glass icon disappeared when solving landscape puzzle -- Requested feature: Piece rotation happens now 2x faster unless there are more than 10 connected pieces timuster94 Member May 3, 2016 7 0 1 #16 timuster94, May 21, 2016 I just saw the update hit and decided to write a review. Just gonna copy it over here too: "Just great for relaxing and solving some beautiful puzzles! A few suggestions: - make an option to turn off the tips when you open up a puzzle, so you don't need to tap "OK" everytime. - have you thought about implementing a lasso tool that lets you encircle several puzzle pieces and then moving them around together. I've only done a 750 piece puzzle so far but that might be even more useful at higher numbers. - making the initial empty space in the middle a bit larger so that the puzzle in its completed form fits in it (because I don't think it does at the moment). I usually start with the border and this would make it much simpler to solve the puzzle and avoid having to move too many pieces out of the way in later parts of the puzzle. Overall a great app and I intend on purchasing further puzzle packs!" polygonplay Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2011 143 1 18 http://www.polygonplay.com/ #17 polygonplay, May 21, 2016 Thank you so much for the review and feedback timuster94! I love the support of this community! - The tips are never shown after you complete your first puzzle. - Lasso tool is a super good idea. I'll most definitely consider implementing this!! - Spreading the pieces in ideal way is a bit tricky. I could spread them further closer to the edges, but the downside is that the pieces would overlap more and it would require more digging to find pieces. On the other hand I understand what you say about the puzzle not fitting into the empty space. I could also spread the pieces even further to avoid too much overlapping, but then some the pieces would be outside the screen area which is not ideal either. This is a tricky one. I have to think about this. By the way have you tried playing so that the pieces are in tray or do you just prefer to have them on table? Great Game, beautiful artnow my wife and I have to go buy some prints for the house! Marije New Member Apr 21, 2010 4 0 0 #19 Marije, May 22, 2016 I really like the puzzles, they are beautiful! But I did run into a problem today. Yesterday I started a puzzle, I turned on the tray, I finished the edge, then started on the rest. I put some single pieces in their (approximately) correct spots, and I put a group of pieces from the dress of the girl on the board to put them together. Today I opened the puzzle to continue working on it, and all the pieces were put back on the board instead of in the tray... So my work in progress from yesterday was largely covered by all other pieces. When I turned on the tray again, all the single, unattached pieces were moved to the tray, including the ones I had already put in their correct positions, and the group of 'dress pieces' I was working on... So today I tried again, and before I closed the puzzle I moved all the single pieces I was working on (in this case all the purple pieces) from the board to the front of the tray, hoping I could find them again when I wanted to continue. But when I turned on the tray, the order of the pieces had completely changed... Is this the way the app is supposed to work? In that case, does anyone have any tips on how to approach puzzling so my work is saved between sessions? polygonplay Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2011 143 1 18 http://www.polygonplay.com/ #20 polygonplay, May 22, 2016 adin: The app is portrait app because most of the paintings are in portrait format. That way the screen estate is utilised more effectively. However, there are some landscape paintings included. Whenever you choose a landscape painting and start playing the interface will turn to landscape mode, again to utilise the screen estate better. Also, if you play with rotating pieces you have the possibility to assemble the puzzle in whatever orientation regardless of the interface. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
