But I've yet to get the power after reverse direction so still playing. saosijs Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2012 1,483 2 38 Brazil #3 saosijs, May 20, 2016 A very spartan (lean) implementation of what is close to a lemmings game. No level menu whatsoever (or a level number indication). You can only play one level, the last one not finished yet. If you're stuck, you're stuck, no skips possible. No Game Center. The game play is hectic, you need continuously and quickly assign properties to each kube to prevent them from falling. Lose even one kube and the level finishes. The properties are (all apply only to the kube you assign it to): - reverse direction - turn into a bridge when reaching a gap - reverse gravity - split in two (one continues and one goes its way in opposite direction) - the fifth one I haven't encountered yet (I played around 10 levels) Sound is on or off, there are no separate settings for music and effects and the music is awfully repetitive. Doesn't rotate with the device, so my smart cover feels dumb now Now and then you get a video ad served that you're allowed to skip after 5 seconds already. Not too bad. No IAP's. Overall, the game is not bad, but kept too simple. giorashc Member Jun 5, 2013 14 0 0 #4 giorashc, May 21, 2016 saosijs, thank you for the detailed response! The game was indeed meant to be simple, (i.e. play and pass the levels till the end). Objectively I believe that if a game is good enough and fun to play then changing the game progress (level selection/skipping levels in my case) does not improve the playability or interest in the game. So for example if the case is that my game is not interesting enough/fun it wont matter if level selection exists or not. I did not want the game to be easy so it does require a fast tap reaction to make it challenging (but indeed, maybe I should make it a bit less hectic as you say). I will add a separate mute sound buttons or even add more music so it will be pleasant to the ear and fix the rotation issue Thanks again for your comments! giorashc Member Jun 5, 2013 14 0 0 #5 giorashc, May 19, 2017 Kubes Update Check out the updated version of Kubes. Improved visuals, level selection, level indication and music and sound separate controls (incase you find one of them annoying :/) (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
