Being mobile it's obviously not feasible to mimic the hardcore fighting game gameplay in the console version, so this brawler alternative will do. Good thing too since Blazblue on the console has some lengthy combos that require high finger dexterity. From my brief time with it, seems like playing as guest will mean that your progress does not get carried onto your next game session. Perhaps that is a glitch that had been fixed with this global release. madreviewer Well-Known Member Sep 22, 2013 966 0 0 #11 madreviewer, Jun 6, 2016 It requir internet connection What a shame zergslayer69 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2010 1,211 3 38 #12 zergslayer69, Jun 6, 2016 What a shame indeed. With plenty of room for twitch skill and challenge beyond random swiping. And with shiny graphics and splendid animations, plus the archetypical music, convoluted and charmingly nonsensical plot, haphazard but ambitious world-building and clumsy translation, at times BB:RR kinda feels like playing an interactive anime. Remains to be seen how hard game content is gated by the interplay between freemium mechanics and character progression (unlike a regular fighting game, the leveled stats in BlazBlue probably means twitch skill will not always be enough to succeed). Only my chronic optimism prevents me from prophesying heavy paywalls further down the side-scrolling path. Which has been mimicked for iOS with success on a few occasions already. I think the desire to tap into the free-to-play action market is a much greater driving force for the developers than any doubts as to the viability of sophisticated one-on-one fighting games for iOS. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,685 105 63 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #14 djstout, Jun 6, 2016 That stopped me from getting it as I often go abroad and won't being willing to use the Internet connection just for a game. There really is a good leveling and combo system. Morgan01 Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2013 243 0 0 USA #17 Morgan01, Jun 7, 2016 Internet requirement and freemiums go hand in hand these days. While I'm not a hugh freemium fan, the games has a nice art style and the fighting controls implemented well. cenn Active Member Aug 14, 2015 39 0 0 #18 cenn, Jun 7, 2016 i haven't downloaded this one yet, but if i recall, this should the same game as the one released for the Traditional Chinese market a year ago. A decent side-scrolling brawler (kind of like the one for Guilty Gear that came out for the PSP years ago?), albeit with IAP of course. Because it's officially licensed, all of the assets are real Blazblue assets. For fans I think it's worth trying out at least, especially since there's nothing else of the kind around. This is actually the first time i see a f2p game sound reasonable with reasonable spending... I might buy that just to support this ! lol littlebluemnm Member Oct 11, 2012 6 0 0 #20 littlebluemnm, Jun 7, 2016 Anyone getting a please update error message when first signing in?
