The freemium is not annoying at all, you only lose lives when you make lots of mistakes on a level. Otherwise, if you're good at sudoku logic, then you can keep on playing and playing! The levels aren't timed either which is great. I don't think there's been a single puzzle yet where I need to guess, which is a good sign! Pretty good freemium puzzler. The IAP are optional and seem integrated pretty well. I've not been bombarded with adds, prompted for reviews, made to connect or any other usual f2p nonsense . Main thing is that all puzzles are totally solvable so far ( 40 levels played) , that's a big deal , as I've tried so many sudoku,picross that look appealing but are totally unplayable without buying something because of paywalls or they throw logic out the window making you guess..so you'll deplete lives ...therefore you have ta buy something yadda yaddo .....THIS game is FAIR and doesn't resort to that shady behavior ...so major props! Level 50, you have to collect two chocolate drops with six turns to do it and from the get-go you know the exact two types of fruit that you need to put in those drops but for the first two lives I didn't get either of those fruit for six turns and for my third life I only got one. This game is almost balanced too fair..or even over balanced in favor of the player..(never thought I'd say that)...such favorable playing doesn't encourage the purchasing of IAP/lives and what not. I played to level 50 before I lost the first life, only then because of the level itself ... I like level packs as DLC for a few reasons, main being devs get a game that's generating income, they can create additional (new content) level packs for Us to purchase/play... That's a good point.
