First off a disclaimer, I've played this game and gave a lot of feedback which was implemented during the entire beta process. So while I might be a bit biased when I talk about a game I do try to be honest and upfront. With that said here I go. Let me get one thing out of the way first. For those that love a premium experience this game has it. There are absolutely no energy timer BS. The IAP is structured so you can decide what you want to spend. For myself I've already purchased the $5 no ads/double coins premium package which basically gives you the premium experience. This game is structured however for anyone in mind. There are options to only buy no ads or just double coins. Or you can play pretty comfortably spending nothing at all. If you buy the double coin it doubles the coins of the opt in ads as well. So again there is value in buying the $5 package. Ok so let's get to the gameplay itself. You are driving a car in a very unique, one fingered, tap control scheme on 80's type of neon tracks avoiding other vehicles and enemy helicopters dropping bombs. All at the sametime trying to pick up coins and power ups which include score multipliers and coins as well as repair tokens and other awesome offensive power ups. Some of these power ups you can upgrade with the coins you collect as well as you can use the coins to use a claw machine to win other vehicles, all resembling vehicles from famous tv and cartoon shows from the 80's. Simply put its awesome. To make the leaderboards fair all of the vehicles are cosmetic only. All power ups are random. Everyone has a fair chance. The gameplay itself, using one finger to change direction does take some getting used to but once you get the hang of it you will love it and find yourself weaving in and out of traffic and dodging missiles. The game is intense and fun. The power ups are incredibly fun. I suggest you save your first 500 coins for the magnet. I know you will be tempted to earn another vehicle but hold off and get the magnet. This way you will start drawing coins and power ups. There is also full everyplay integration with a full community as well as the ability to share your scores and when you get new vehicles on Twitter. So social media is covered. I still think more coins need to be placed on the tracks in the game and I hope more tracks are added later. It's an incredibly fun game that I think everyone should try. The devs do care about this game and have been extremely responsive and more than willing to incoporate feedback even if they didn't agree with it. To me that says a lot about a development team. That's why they've earned my money, my respect, and my 5 star rating. It's a good game. Go get it people. It works flawlessly on my iPhone 6 running. iOS 9.3.1 Also you will Looooove the tank power up. Lol Billy LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #5 LordShad0wz, May 6, 2016 I thought the magnet was a persistent purchase? I just used 500 coins and there's absolutely no difference. During the beta it was discussed as persistent. I haven't seen a single power up for it and I've played dozens of games before putting out my review. If it's not persistent I'm going to have to change my review. Billy apeape Member Mar 31, 2016 23 0 0 #6 apeape, May 6, 2016 Last edited: May 6, 2016 Thanks for the review LordShad0wz! I hope everyone is having fun with our first release The magnet is definitely persistent, no need to pick anything up in game. It only gets upgraded 10% at a time, so the difference is kind of hard to spot at first. Once you upgrade it 2-3 times you can grab stuff in other lanes pretty easily. If you watch the trailer you can see how far away they are grabbed from. Right now the cost doubles each time but we're thinking of maybe decreasing that a bit. We will for sure be adding more cars and tracks once we get the Android version up, That's our priority right now; we know lots of people are eagerly awaiting it! Why are the achievements only worth one point a piece? Can you change that in an update? Seems pointless to even have them at that rate... dhw Well-Known Member Mar 25, 2016 48 0 0 #8 dhw, May 6, 2016 Thanks! Completely forgot to update the points. Also, is there a graphics setting somewhere? They look a bit blurry to me. Or was that by design so that it would run on older devices? Playing on iPhone 6. dhw Well-Known Member Mar 25, 2016 48 0 0 #10 dhw, May 6, 2016 There is a VHS Like shader effect applied to the game. It gives it that blur look. We can add an option to reduce/remove the effect the settings. Real shame. I'm sure it's just a personal thing but I don't like the fact that you can't drive in a straight line. I'm going to persevere for a bit longer but was really looking forward to this and it's just not clicking so far apeape Member Mar 31, 2016 23 0 0 #13 apeape, May 6, 2016 Last edited: May 6, 2016 It does take a while to get used to. We wanted to make it different from other games since there are a lot with tap to change lanes controls already. We could add a separate mode with that control scheme in a future update if enough people want it. I'd like to try a few other options as well, such as tilting the phone to turn. Having more ways to play will also increase the replay value, I think. Thanks for the feedback! orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #14 orangecan, May 6, 2016 No problem, I'm going to give it another go later - I really want to like it and fingers crossed it might just click for me mj132 Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2013 354 5 18 United Kingdom #15 mj132, May 6, 2016 Did test this during its beta even if I didn't post in the forum about it. The controls do take some getting use to but it's worth sticking with it. I've just download the full version and I'll be buying the coin doubler and remove ads. It's a fun game and everyone should give it a go as it's free so you have nothing to lose. I look forward to future updates. Well done to the developer. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,280 1 38 #16 LordShad0wz, May 6, 2016 The controls are actually good once you get used to them. Just stick with it. And apeape thanks for the answer on coin magnet. 10% eh? The next upgrade is 1000 coins. Yeesh. Lol there's no coin packs help haha! I really didn't notice a difference. Maybe in the first update you can bump it up a little. Billy Tubatic Member Jan 8, 2016 23 0 0 #17 Tubatic, May 6, 2016 I like the look a lot, but really don't like the controls. If there were other controls, I might revisit. Understandable move to try something different, but I'd prefer lane changing and/or controlled drift mechanic over this.
