The game itself is a clicker, it looks great, but it's still a clicker and it doesn't really change the clicker genre or anything. It's fine and especially for a companion app it's at least 50 times better than the Dark Souls 3 game. araczynski Well-Known Member Oct 5, 2009 1,467 0 36 programmer omaha, ne #3 araczynski, May 4, 2016 i like the genre (clickers), but this one bored me quickly, seemed dry for some reason, so dumped it after two days. Game is a fun clicker and if you are enjoying Battleborn like I am it's a nice addition. Nothing amazing but the art is cute, the rewards for the main game are nice, and it doesn't have eight million tiny upgrades that do nothing andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #8 andysmash, May 5, 2016 I feel very dumb. I was on my fifth prestige before I realized you could increase your Battleborn's health. I thought that just healed them - nope. Each time you unlock the next one in line. They can then be purchased like the others. Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #11 Amenbrother, May 5, 2016 Ouch ok! ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #12 ste86uk, May 5, 2016 What are the bonuses to prestige on this one? Just unlocking the characters mainly? Also the items from the shop that boost your characters, do they carry over or everything reset? andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #13 andysmash, May 5, 2016 Prestige gives you special cubes you can use to buy artifacts, which have permanent bonuses (standard clicker/prestige) and yes, unlocks the ability to purchase the next character. Gear you unlock carries over. You of course have to purchase the hero to get the benefit from it, but they'll always have the gear you found for them in the last run(s). Also, there are multiple levels of gear quality for each slot, and duplicate gear breaks down into a currency that can be used to level up the gear you have to a higher quality. For sure save your special currency to buy the gear chest worth 300 - you'll get good stuff. This game has so many systems that work together. I really enjoy it. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #14 ste86uk, May 6, 2016 Thanks for all of that info, I'm liking it so far as far as clickers go. It feels like it's missing that gearbox flare though like you get on the battleborn trailers and some of their other games. rtificial Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2015 98 0 6 pastry chef Georiga #15 rtificial, May 6, 2016 I'm having fun with it. Gearbox usually support their projects for awhile too. Hopefully we will see some shift codes and updates for this also. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #16 ste86uk, May 6, 2016 The Borderlands one didn't actually get any support from what I remember and I liked that. I wish they would put a little focus into their iOS games I bet they could make a great one. Any tips on characters which are best and who you start with ect? andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #17 andysmash, May 6, 2016 Battleborn (console) is a pretty bad game. I'm honestly glad it doesn't have that flair, haha. rtificial Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2015 98 0 6 pastry chef Georiga #18 rtificial, May 6, 2016 That strategy borderlands game was terrible at the start but they later went back and revamped it. They had the loot the world app which they would release QR codes for periodically. As for characters. I just choose who has the best equipment I've unlocked. I've just been playing till I get enough points to unlock a new character or two. Plus craft a relic. Save up your blue coins for the 300 looting for better gear on your characters. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #19 ste86uk, May 6, 2016 Last edited: May 6, 2016 Yeh I got the 300 gear chest and have two relics so far and enough to get another one when I prestige again. Just wondering if there's any tactics in the character choice given the different abilities like healing and stuns ect plus does the order you pick them matter? Seems to be the first character you pick ends up much stronger than the others as you progress apart from when you unlock a new one. andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #20 andysmash, May 6, 2016 I choose the characters with life steal and bonus shards on hit. I do damage, get health and get money. Win/win overall. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
