THE NETHERLANDS #3 ROGER-NL, Apr 26, 2016 Hi Appunwrapper you start level 4 on the green block right and the finish is the other green block above, so you go half round the green block you are on and than jump to the green block above not the grey one understand. AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #4 AppUnwrapper, Apr 26, 2016 That's what I've been trying to do, but I keep jumping off into space and dying. I guess my timing is off. Was hoping this game would have been more puzzle than platformer (i.e. timing not as important), but might not be the game for me. THE NETHERLANDS #5 ROGER-NL, Apr 26, 2016 Here is were you jump off, it's really easy actually, don't give up so soon it is a great game. Small tap for little jump hold the button longer for big jumps, maybe that will help. I was going to the left side of the cube before jumping. I'll stick with it and see how it goes, and see if I get a better understanding of the jumping mechanics. THE NETHERLANDS #7 ROGER-NL, Apr 26, 2016 It is actually a puzzle platformer in my eyes, I like it very much, thank god there are no virtual buttons. AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #8 AppUnwrapper, Apr 26, 2016 Yeah, it just might lean too far to the platformer side for my tastes. But I'll give it some more time. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #9 Qwertz555, Apr 26, 2016 Obviously only my problem, but the short tap inputs mostly do not work. I reinstalled the game and did a device restart...same bad result. (5s, 8.4.1) A tip for starters: replay the tutorial levels to get used to the jumping before/after an edge and for the distance. The lives system starts biting at level 6. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #10 touchy85, Apr 26, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel The art is great and cute. The actual platforming is decent, it's not great but it works. Only download it when you're interested in buying the infinite energy unlock. If you want to play it free to play, you're going to have to watch a 30 secs add for 8 energy. This energy lasts 1 - 5 minutes. Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #11 Sanuku, Apr 27, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I`m usually very sceptical about trying out a Mobile Game when the description starts with something similar to "X is a polished one button platform puzzler." because after more then eight years that I have spent playing iOS Mobiles Games it does usually mean the total opposition. This time I was very suprised that illi indeed came to that description very close expect one thing that the Developer might have overlooked and that I will talk a bit about at a later point so let`s start with the Gameplay first... illi is indeed an one button platform puzzler that is very polished and I had over the hole hour I had played it so far always the feeling that each Level in the Game was carefully crafted and even if I hadn`t managed to get through some of the Levels on my first run in the end all the Levels and each one of their tasks (There are most of the time between 1-4 different tasks you have to manage to get three Stars/Quests for that Level) were manageable as long as I thought about it long enough. This is something that not every Game in the Puzzle Genre does manage nowadays and here has illi therefore already earned it`s first (1/5) iTunes Star. illi has currently 60. Level that will keep you busy for some time since some of the Levels are pretty tricky and really expect from you to think most of the times out of the box and depend sometimes heavily on timing if it comes to how to get through those Levels in one run and/or to do other tasks without knowing from the start how you can even reach all the different plattforms in the Level. Second (2/5) iTunes Star With each task (called Quests InGame) finished in the Game you will gain access to more and more Levels that will demand from you a more and more different approach of how to fullfill those Quests and while at the beginning of the Game it does behave like a Tutorial that takes you buy your hand and explain you the Core Gameplay Mechanics later on you will most of the time on your first try probably don`t even make it alive out of the Level so expect to die often and on a regular base the further you move along in the Game. Third (3/5) iTunes Star. Each time you die or replay a Level you will use one of your Energy Bars and when you have spent all your Energy you will have to either wait till your Energy Bar will be refilled (Timer") or watch an Ad to refill your Energy Bar. For those that are sick of such an Timer InGame can also pay a one-time InGame Payment of something like $4,99 to disable the Energy Bar in the Game. Third (4/5) iTunes Star. And here is the only Feature in the Game that is really bugged. Not the Levels, not the Core Gameplay Mechanics in the Game, not the Level Design - The Watch an Ad in the Game to refill your Energy Bar is definitly bugged since over the last hour I had at least five times where I had watched an add and instead getting an Full Refill I only like only one Energy Bar back. This is nothing major but since the rest of the Game is so much polished it stood so much out while I was playing the Game that I definitly have to mention it so the Team at Set Snail can look into it since everything else in the Game looks so smooth and polished that this should get fixed or disabled till it`s fixed. Conclusion: illi by Set Snail is a great one button platform puzzler that made me often wonder at first of how the hell I could reach one of those Crystal in the Game and afterwards when I had realized that the answer where directly in front of my eyes I enjoyed playing the Game even more and so I can only rate it as following: Rating: 5/5 - I enjoyed my hour with the Game and definitly can recommend it to those that like similar Games and that aren`t afraid of taking there time instead of just rushing through a Game. illi does tell a Story but I never felt that I was missing anything in the Game since the Level Design of some of those Puzzles is just so carefully done that even if it might take you some time to understand how to fullfill all the Quests you still will enjoy it for sure. May I have a hint as to what unlocks the hidden achievement that is located right below the "Ouch!" achievement? I'm also curious to know what the end message says. It gets cut off on my ipod 6 screen, and can't scroll any further to the right.
