The subscription stuff is confusing and I personally don't like auto renewal purchases. And then I wonder if the game is crippled without the sub. I suppose someone who has played the original would know best? Edit: Nevermind. Ios9? I'm still on 8 and won't be leaving anytime soon. Guess I'll pass on this app. For a game with mostly text I feel like having it at ios7 or so would have been preferable to get a wider audience. The ios9 requirement is a big downside for me. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #5 redribbon, Apr 19, 2016 been waiting for this since i thought it would be a platformer/ action-adventure game. oh well... nicodemus82 Well-Known Member Jul 12, 2010 1,068 0 36 From Wales. This then resets the page to the top again when I tap out of it. A minor annoyance, But still annoying. Lol Plus, It takes too long to load when the app is first launched. Just then it take more than 5 minutes and still stuck at "Syncing Character" so I kill the app. And when re-launch, I go straight into the game. I think the pay model is similar to the browser version, which I have no idea either... Time to pay the official site a visit. I have escaped prison numerous times and at this point don't feel the desire to do it again. I hate the timers. not very impressed at this point. spader623 Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 479 0 0 #14 spader623, Apr 19, 2016 I already had an account so it didn't affect me (the prison save bug is what I'll call it). Like sunless sea, it seems like you have to grind out things to unlock new things. Ex: I want to steal a ladies diamond. In order to do so, I need better watchful. I can gain more by following people or catching cats or whatever. Then, when I have enough, I have a % chance of getting into say the stage where she lives. ALSO, being an exceptional friend, the 7 buck IAP, seems to be a recurring subscription which gets you more action points (40 as opposed to 20) a special story, and possibly something else. Fates, keys I guess (?) I dunno about thoufh. Personally I think I'm gonna subscribe because I love their story telling AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #15 AppUnwrapper, Apr 19, 2016 It's doing this for me, too. That would imply there's regularly added content, like in Choices? Otherwise, why a subscription? Very confusing payment model. spader623 Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 479 0 0 #17 spader623, Apr 19, 2016 Kinda. There's 3 big things you get for the sub: A. Going into the special story area for exclusive Sub only stories once a month. B. You get 40 action points instead of 20 and C. You get 10 cards (idk what these are, I apparently have 6(?)) instead of 6. Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #18 Repulsa, Apr 19, 2016 It's like the "vip" so many f2p games offer... Extra content other ppl don't have access to and a bit of extra in game currency. I really hate the f2p model this game follows. spader623 Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 479 0 0 #19 spader623, Apr 19, 2016 I think it's pretty fair. Sure I'd prefer a 'buy it play forever' approach but it's fair about its points IMO. Also, cards are random events you draw and are under the 'sometimes' category in actions (far left tab at the bottom) instead of always.
