I'm working on a walkthrough if anyone needs help: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2016/04/11/cube-escape-theatre-walkthrough-guide/ Also, the game didn't save for me, so be careful. You might want to finish it in one sitting if you can. Edit: My walkthrough's now complete. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #5 TheGreatEscaper, Apr 12, 2016 Just finished, man, these rusty lake games just keep getting better and better. I'm thoroughly invested in this series and its lynchian mythology. Alex Wolf Well-Known Member Dec 5, 2010 585 3 18 #6 Alex Wolf, Apr 12, 2016 One of my fav developer ....!!! Soo great these Cube escape games Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #7 Sanuku, Apr 12, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel To be honest Cube Escape: Theatre from LoyaltyGame B.V. kinda left me with mixed feelings about it and I`m still unsure about if the Game was just too rough around the corners or if I had expected too much of the Game after I had seen the Intro. But let`s start from the beginning: Cube Escape: Theatre has a really nice done Intro that totally caught me from the first moment and raised my expectations very high to what might follow afterwards and I kinda got an Film Noir feeling similar to Agent A: A puzzle in disguise from Yak & Co. The Main Game is split up into seven smaller parts of an Art Performance at a theater where the Game does take place. To make it short: Yes you will have your usual Try & Eror Runs if it comes to some of the Puzzles and yes some of those are harder while others are as easy as they could be if you take a closer look at your surrounding but considering that the first 30. ~ 60. Minutes of any Game should actually make sure that you get hooked up and then don`t want to stop playing the Game Cube Escape: Theatre feels often more like a Rodeo Ride then actually an Puzzle Game where you can in the end connect all dots and everything makes finally some kind of sense. It`s just that the Game, at least at the beginning feels like someone had those Puzzles prepared over some time and then kinda, and I know that this might sound kinda harsh, tossed those into an Game where they sometimes feel totally out of place. Conclusion: I`m really not sure what to think about Cube Escape: Theatre from LoyaltyGame. I really like the Intro and some of the puzzles in the Game are really nicely done but on the other hand some of the other parts of the game feel just to rough around the edges and that does more or less kinda ruin it for me. I wish this wouldn`t be the case and I really, really want to like the Game and enjoy playing it but I don`t know why and can hardly explain it but Cube Escape: Theatre just doesn`t make me want to keep playing it since there seem to be something that does tell me Nope and I`m having a real hard time to explain it what it might be. Raiting: 3/5 - If you enjoy playing Puzzle Games you might enjoy playing Cube Escape: Theatre otherwise I`m pretty sure you won´t miss it if you have never played it even once. RustyLake Member Apr 29, 2015 7 0 0 #8 RustyLake, Apr 12, 2016 Thanks for making this thread! @Sanuku thanks for sharing your experience! I think this is the first time you've played one of our Cube Escape games. As you might have read, it's the eighth episode in the series, so guess the whole story/vibe and even some puzzles will make a lot more sense if you've played the other parts as well. Hope you will try them out, you can find the correct order to play here: http://www.rustylake.com/apps/ RustyLake Member Apr 29, 2015 7 0 0 #9 RustyLake, Apr 12, 2016 Thank you Alyce Kat Member Mar 4, 2015 16 0 0 #10 Alyce Kat, Apr 12, 2016 Love these games I remember playing the mini game in Burthday, teasing the name and was so excited. That does totally make sense since I indeed never have played yet before any of the other Cube Escape Games and probably felt because of that over the hole time that I was missing something if those Games are connected through a Story Plot that I couldn't have foreseen. mogwai Member Mar 11, 2016 10 0 0 #13 mogwai, Apr 13, 2016 This was the first Cube Escape game that I didn't get painfully stuck on and need to consult a walkthrough. Not sure if that means it was easier or I'm just more in tune with the bizarre symbolism and 'language' of the game. Either way, as enjoyable as the rest of them. Definitely recommended. Brawwwn Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2015 155 0 0 #15 Brawwwn, Apr 13, 2016 Sanuku, your review was unnecessarily long winded and out of touch given the fact that you have never played another game in the series. I look forward to your movie reviews based on a series in which you have never seen any other entry. This dev has now released 8 games in a series, with zero IAP, and no ads. Sure, it's not for everyone, but your 3 stars now represents the whole of Touch Arcade and I think that is lousy. I don't know how to give a rating on the mobile app but if I did, I would give it 5 stars. Notice how I spelt whole with a "W"? Alex Wolf Well-Known Member Dec 5, 2010 585 3 18 #16 Alex Wolf, Apr 13, 2016 Sanuku? 4 stars maybe then?? Or 5?? AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #17 AppUnwrapper, Apr 13, 2016 Right under the title at the top of the page, it says "Rate it" -- tap on that and you can add your rating. Anyway, I only got into the series with Rusty Lake Hotel (which I didn't finish) but after Birthday and this one, I decided to go back and start the series from the beginning. Finished Seasons last night and was surprised that the series started on such a high note. I expected it to be short and then it added that whole time-traveling bit. Good stuff. Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #18 Sanuku, Apr 13, 2016 You realize that this totally doesn`t make any sense all? Would you really argue with anyone just because they wouldn`t give a Mobile Game that you like a straight 5/5 even you admitted that that it's not for everyone? Could you please do me the favor and at least once realize that my own personal Rating for this Episode of Cube Escape: Theatre is like a drop of water into the Ocean since the Game was ahead of my Rating at an straight 5.Stars Rating and was also afterwards still an straight 5. Stars Rating. How was my short Review of what I had experienced with the Game out of touch when it 100% reflected what I had felt while I was playing the Game under the believe that it was an Game on it`s own? Do you even realize that even the Developer afterwards pointed out that yes you indeed need to play the other Episodes ahead too so you get the full picture and I was exactly describing what probably anyone else would have felt too after they had experienced just any of the other Episodes instead of all the other Episodes in the right order that had launched so far? I hope you get what I want to point out here.
