However, I would like to understand how the matchmaking works. I have my squad around level 570-590 for each player. My PPS are 3.04s, I already have 101 medals and 4 trophies. I am in game 3, year 2019. And I am getting dunked on, it is like AC Milan vs. Fc Barcelona in the Cchampionsleague Final 1994 where Dejan Savicevic was killing Barca. So, how does the matchmaking work? I guess I am getting matched with 500-600+ level squads, too and they are in game 3 in year 2019 as well? After I lost a game, I am in the "Revancher"-Mode and can farm money. The problem is, when you close the App, I cant farm money. Would you please look into this? Kind regards from germany! My brother and I are so grateful to you. Wow, 2019 already? Whatever team you are on is lucky to have you... Gahh, your description of that beatdown is making me cringe, haha. You are correct; the matchmaking is based on how far you are in the game. It will try to match you with players on a similar game/year. So if you got extra diamonds, you would have earned a ton of extra rewards by blazing through matches faster than other players, but eventually you will be facing more equal competition because you are bypassing a lot of the grinding time that other players will be putting in after their losses. Getting diamonds earns you a solid boost, but it isn't a guarantee that you will beat every opponent until the end of time. Hmm, you aren't earning any cash at all with the game closed? Upon reopening it you should be seeing a popup about the cash your earned while your team was away. Are you by any chance closing and reopening quickly? The game needs to be closed for about two minutes before you will earn passive income. Furthermore, I have to question the upgrade system of the players. it does not make sense. It is WAY too expensive and it scales with your overall invested money. After I upgrade a stat for Player A for two 2 times, I have to pay even more for the first upgrade of player B, even if his levels are lower. For example, my lvl 719 CM costs 542.1 U to upgrade short pass from 101 to 102. My lvl 730 Right Wing/Forward costs 538.77 U to upgrade crossing from 100 to 101. After I upgraded it to 1.01, the Passing upgrade for the CM from 101 to 102 now costs 1.121D although I did not touch it?! And please, for the love of god, allow more chat characters per line in the club chat! Even twitter allows more than like 40 letters ;-) Despite of some weird mechanics, I like the game so far! Keep in mind that you earn maximum passive cash after about 20 minutes offline, so you will still need to check in more frequently to collect max earnings. Please do note that the offline earnings will never be a substitute for active play-- we intentionally tune all of our clickers this way. As for the player stat upgrades, I realize this is a bit counterintuitive. The cost of upgrading a players stats is actually based on the number of upgraded stats across your team. So when you upgrade one player's stats, the upgrade cost of other players' stats will also increase. This is because the stat upgrade system is weighted differently than level upgrades. Without delving too deeply into the math, stat upgrades are a multiplier on top of the player's level-based stats. In that way, stat upgrades are actually an extremely powerful tool when used at the proper pace. While level upgrades are intended to be dolled out constantly, the cost of stat upgrades scales much more quickly, and they are really only designed to be used occasionally since they only become effective when your level upgrades have outpaced your stat upgrades in terms of efficiency. And once you start catching up stat upgrades, they very quickly outpace the level upgrades again. The system works as intended, but the confusing part is that it's not totally clear that you aren't supposed to be upgrading player's stats constantly. Every player has a number of stats, so the initial assumption is that you need to upgrade them often. We count on players figuring out that this isn't the case based on the cost and effectiveness scaling -- and you have, since you're questioning their efficiency -- but I can understand why it would seem "wrong." Perhaps a better system, and one that we are considering in future titles, would be to have "stat points" separate from currency that are awarded at the end of each season. I am in game 5 of 2020 and the wall is really high now, because thanks to 3000 diamonds I spent on gold players (=A rating, so they have higher multipliers and stats like the F players you can buy with money, is that right?) and many ingame cash I already bought I have 5 season trophies and 141 medals and progress just somehow "stopped". Which is a good sign because Soccer Clicker is NOT pay to win but pay to progress/shortcut, and I think I have met the end of the road so far. So I wonder if and how there are resets?
