I adore the Coldwave w/ a hint of chiptune soundtrack from the trailer. Really sends you careening back to the early '80s, when the preponderance of synths and the still ongoing cold war made it seem like you were living in a chilly sci-fi movie. Not sure I'm gonna bite until I've heard at least a couple of impressions, though. Want to see if the gameplay is a little more than just turning left-and-right first. Still...interest piqued! Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #3 Qwertz555, Apr 6, 2016 Walking the same road today, sinagog. Read the description carefully and watch the screenies - it's exactly what you get - real trippy stuff. After quite a few deaths, i finally finished the first level and it says storyline 10%. Since the Devs stated 10 soundtracks, we're looking at 10 levels, at least. This first one was simply left and right, getting slowly used to the turns and the glitchy screens. The floating (auto) jump in the second level reminds of Fotonica, and should you fall from a higher level/street, with a bit of luck you can steer yourself back on track again, think Impossible Road. The controls work great, though i'm a little bit disappointed they didn't serve a second option with swipes. Would have made a cool one-hander, pity. Instead we tap left/right, and it almost plays a bit like a rhythm game. Portrait and landscape, all 4 directions, cool. If you don't like the voice (oh i love it), turn it off. No walk in the park this second level, so i can't tell how the game evolves. Difficult these days to recommend an "expensive" Temple Run-ner, but this is a playable piece of art and for this awesome music alone (in my ears!) - highly recommended. Little tip: keep concentrated after you beat level 1, it goes on. The direction input comes very late. sinagog Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2014 937 0 0 #4 sinagog, Apr 6, 2016 Glad to hear it's got a bit of challenge to it. I was a bit worried that it practically played itself. I love the nightmare dystopia setting. It's the kinda thing that seeps into my dreams (in a good way) at night. Man, there are few things more satisfying than landing back on the track on Impossible Road after falling an in-game mile. If the track goes up and down as well as just left and right, and it's already got a few tricks up its sleeve on the second level, it sounds like the gameplay's surprisingly meaty. Thanks for the impressions as always, Qwertz! I'm getting it. rezn Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Mar 8, 2014 862 6 18 Male Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #5 rezn, Apr 6, 2016 Happy to see its available already! Highly concentrated, mesmerized, every try a bit more, memorizing the tricky jump-turns. To get to know the path, i only play in landscape mode. The environment's preview is so important but limited in portrait. Oops, i even got stuck on this edge here where i should have gone straight. My newest obsession. This game is like Temple Run mixed with Wave Wave. Super twitchy and trippy, just how I like it. Btw, I was able to start the first level backwards by doing a 180 at the start of the level. It seems to still play fine. I finished level 2, i recite handofgod, with bleeding eyes I can't say if it's easier or worse on the eyes when played on a bigger screen (5s here), but you maybe might think of an option to reduce (even turn off) the glitches a bit? Against this beautiful piece of art, i know, but in favour of the players. And while i think i couldn't have finished that level with swipes (the last 15%), i'm still looking forward to them. Hmm, do those cubes slow me down a bit, change the story or the track layout, only the color or..no clue, yet. Next hypnotizing soundtrack on level 3. Feels like a maze without walls. Oh boy, Queen i'm coming, but very slowly. Good luck to me. Btw, though it's difficult as nails and dying is program, somehow the last pixels are on our side. Like the path is wide enough, or if you're completely off, you can reposition again with quick left-right inputs (or vice versa), or fall and save Impossible Road-ish once in a while. Possible to buy the soundtrack? Im just wondering, is there an endless mode or challenges, or just the 10 levels? The game looks pretty cool and I'll probably pick it up. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
