My jumps were not not landing where you would expect them to. I really wanted to like this game but that issue made it unplayable for me. kotsoum Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2015 66 7 8 #3 kotsoum, Feb 22, 2016 Hi Repulsa, thanks for the feedback. I want to let you know that this is a new game and includes tons of improvements compared to the old game you've probably played. The controls got more easy to use and flexible to the user's needs, also the jump responsiveness and the movement buttons got a big update. You can try it and let me what do you think. Thank you. Boardumb Administrator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Apr 14, 2009 8,964 880 113 THE BOSS Sacramento, CA #4 Boardumb, Feb 23, 2016 Why do you keep re-releasing the same game over and over again? This was originally Pixel World: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=260779 Then you released it as The Super Bro: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=281463 There was also another one named The Super Bros mixed in there at one time: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=260789 And now we have yet another version of this game, which you are charging people for. You've pulled the previous games, so I guess anyone who has bought those is just screwed and has to buy it again or something? I know you are attempting to improve the game which each release, but that's why Apple allows you to do UPDATES to your games, not simply pull them from sale and then re-release them for a new price. It's really scummy IMO. On top of all that, you're very obviously trying to ride on the popularity of Mario, which is almost always a bad sign when it's as blatant as it has been in this series of games. So tell me why I should buy your game if in all likelihood you're just going to pull this version in a few weeks and release a new one? cabuckn2 Active Member Sep 9, 2014 41 0 0 #5 cabuckn2, Feb 23, 2016 I soft clapped at every one of these points. Well said. Snooptalian Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2009 1,936 8 38 #6 Snooptalian, Feb 23, 2016 Got to agree. Why aren't you simply updating the game rather than re-releasing it over and over? I've already paid for this once and am stuck with non responsive controls, and a jump/fire button that should be swapped, or at least let the player move the buttons where they feel comfortable. I'm not buying it again hoping the controls are better now... chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #7 chief78, Feb 23, 2016 Those crickets sure are loud Collin Well-Known Member Jul 29, 2010 719 46 28 Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Art Director Colorado Springs, CO https://www.theislandsofmisfitcreativity.com/ #8 Collin, Feb 23, 2016 Yep. Made the mistake of buying the version right before this. The controls were crap. Deleted it. Then saw this. Didn't know about the other versions before the one I bought. Now I know to avoid anything further from this developer. cabuckn2 Active Member Sep 9, 2014 41 0 0 #9 cabuckn2, Feb 23, 2016 Yeah I'm just going to ignore any/all posts from him at this point. Really bothers me that he's even able to still launch all of these "new" games. As a parent, it'd be easy for me to think "hey a Mario game. Only a buck!" Thankfully I'm smarter than that, but I know this gimmick probably works on some (non TA readers, just average App Store searchers). Flappy bird guy even deleted his for a year because he knew he was using Nintendo design even though he states he did it on his own behalf but get continued to make other games ha. Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #12 Repulsa, Feb 23, 2016 One thing that really sucks about the mobile game market is that Apple does not police developers. We should have the same high standards that console gaming companies set for their development teams. When you buy a new game for your 3DS you know it's gong to play smoothly and if you don't like it well it's not going to be because the controls are messed up. There is a serious lack of integrity in the mobile gaming market and I think it's really sad. Fangbone Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2012 1,212 0 36 Michigan, USA #13 Fangbone, Feb 23, 2016 This is so true. Good thing we have TA to help filter some of the junk out but some always slips through the cracks *cough* Epic of Kings *cough* Seriously though if you've purchased this game there is no louder way to voice your disapproval than by filing for a refund. Explain that the controls are junk or that it is a blatant rip off of Super Mario Bros. As long as you haven't abused the refund option I don't think you'll be denied your refund. Oh also might want to include the part about the developer basically pulling this game 3-4 times prior and re-releasing with supposed fixes and new content. kotsoum Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2015 66 7 8 #14 kotsoum, Feb 23, 2016 If you have suggestions, opinions or improvements you can write about Super Bros! would be great! I too noticed the insane amount of treads being made for this game, but thought they were just sequels with slight changes or that new threads were being made because the app had a name change, but all these apps are being pulled and buyers are expected to continually buy the same game over and over instead of having the one app be updated? Pfff give me a break ! skylined87 Well-Known Member Nov 9, 2014 457 0 16 #20 skylined87, Feb 23, 2016 Yeah, my suggestion is stop making games. If you are gonna make a game you can't just pull it from the App Store every time you want to make some changes, then release it under a slightly different name. That is some shady BS and I know you know better. If you have the know how to make a game and send it to Apple, then you are fully aware that you can submit updates to Apple for your game. Not trying to be mean, but what you are doing is wrong...very wrong. You should seriously be ashamed. I am one of those people who paid for one of the first versions of your game, and now I am SOL as far as getting any updates or support. That is really crappy dude. I don't think there is anything I can say that hasn't already been explained in this thread, but seriously man think twice before you make decisions like this. You are really gonna piss a lot more people off if you continue to be this kind of dev. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
