Yes, for those who remember my gladiator game series Swords and Sandals from way back in the day, this is pretty much a medieval version of it, but with knights instead. I've also added some extra adventure / jousting elements. But if you enjoyed S&S back in the day, I hope you'll also enjoy the game, it's been a long road to get it developed and released. Really appreciate the game making the Hot New Games list and if you've any questions or comments, please get in touch here or hit me up at @oliver_joyce on Twitter and I'll be sure to answer them! Cheers, Oliver Gegoben Well-Known Member Apr 12, 2010 263 0 0 VIrginia #12 Gegoben, Feb 11, 2016 Ok, there is a lot to this game, and it's all fast fun. The card game is scary, as stats will improve and decline. Good fun, just hit level 3, and the alchemist shop opened up, gotta go check it out, and see what I can get Gegoben Well-Known Member Apr 12, 2010 263 0 0 VIrginia #13 Gegoben, Feb 11, 2016 Game is nicely polished, only thing I have seen is that I levelled# Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #14 Repulsa, Feb 11, 2016 There is a lot to do here. Swords and Sandals was really neglected for a long time ( for a while I didn't have the rights to it and it just fell to dust and ruin ) but I've been able to get my hands on it again thanks to the good people at eGames , my new publisher, so it means I'll be revamping the whole series - starting with You Are A Knight, then continuing with the classic S&S games. It's made my day that people are enjoying it so far, don't hesitate to hit me with any questions about the game! swimmingcub Well-Known Member Aug 5, 2012 253 0 0 #18 swimmingcub, Feb 11, 2016 This looks great! Loved sword and sandals, only thing I didn't like was the permadeath. Is there an option to turn it off in this one? If not adding a difficulty mode that is "easy" where you just lose a bunch of gold or something to that effect would be really cool! Or does this one even have permadeath? geno11233 Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 1,054 0 0 #19 geno11233, Feb 11, 2016 Had extra money that I didn't know what to spend on so I bought this to support the premium devs too and it ends up that it's actually really fun!! WhiskeybarrelStudios Active Member Feb 10, 2016 36 0 0 #20 WhiskeybarrelStudios, Feb 11, 2016 Thanks for all the awesome support guys! RE Swimmingclub's comment on Permadeath - there's no permadeath in this one (as there was in Swords and Sandals 1 ) ... but if you do die, you have to test your luck by rolling a number between 1 and 6. If you lose, your character gets a little weaker ( loses 1 AGILITY, and so on ). You earn 'stars' in the game which you can also spend to avoid the 'test your luck' phase. The better you fight, the more stars you get - you can use them for stuff like this or to buy armour in the game ( they're not some horrible IAP virtual currency , rest assured!)
