It's actually really, really unbelievable how they keep getting away with it. Next up: Cowboy Hat Story! "It's like Game Dev Story, except all the characters are wearing huge cowboy hats!" It is a bit tougher than dev story was. dacalo Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2009 62 0 0 #9 dacalo, Jan 27, 2016 I think this is my favorite Kairosoft game besides Game Dev Story. In my opinion it is the closest spiritual successor to GDS. I recently switched back to iOS from Android so this is great news! (I was sad I couldn't find this in the iOS store). matyou98 Well-Known Member Jun 18, 2012 293 3 18 #10 matyou98, Jan 27, 2016 Rather have this then the same old endless runner with new paint released every week. Kairosoft knows what they are good at and they do it well. Some may be tired of it, but that's just sequels in general I guess. fabianb Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2014 1,009 0 36 #11 fabianb, Jan 27, 2016 Does this have newer features than GDS? At least I know what I am paying for with Kairosoft, a proper premium with absolutely no iaps. It's so difficult to get a premium sim game, all those age of empire, sim city and co are f2p with timers and double currency. geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #15 geoelectric, Jan 28, 2016 It's not true that they always do Game Dev Story. Only GDS, Magazine Mogul, and this really fit that. They do have a rotating handful of game types though: Mix-match creative (like this), Mall Placement (megamall and the pyramid game), interior design (hot tub, sushi, clothier), town design (village games, edo town), racetrack, questing party games (the sci fi game and dungeon village), and a bunch of hybrids. They usually manage to tweak each one enough to make them all worth playing. Some of the mega hybrids like Biz Builder and Kairobotica are pretty varied. walmartpolice Well-Known Member May 12, 2012 162 0 0 #16 walmartpolice, Jan 28, 2016 I'm more surprised that they're literally still riding their old ass back log of games. These were games designed for phones with the three physical "back, menu, and confirm" setup spsummer Active Member Dec 15, 2010 28 0 1 #17 spsummer, Jan 28, 2016 I agree that several of their titles are obviously similar but there is a lot of value in most of their games. Dungeon Village, Pocket Stables, Ninja Village, Venture Towns, etc. are all excellent. With a low "premium" price, a super small file size, they are a blast to play. L0ck Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2015 212 2 0 #18 L0ck, Jan 28, 2016 I was just considering reinstalling Game Dev Story the other day. This'll scratch that itch just fine. jamiejap Well-Known Member Apr 29, 2013 60 0 0 #19 jamiejap, Jan 28, 2016 its just incredible slow on my iPhone 4. it played the first kairo games on a iPhone 3, don't know why it's unplayable now, looks still the same I think. perhaps it's bad programming. l Nekko Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2014 457 0 16 Tokyo-3 #20 Nekko, Jan 28, 2016 Anybody know if the "favorite anime" thing at the beginning of the game changes anything?
