Till now I have recieved around 50 gems and have spent them only for most important things like upgrading my storage since there was no other way to obtain items. Now I would need at least 60 of them to upgrade it again which is a must since with every new level there are new items. Not to mention 450 gems for completing one of the goals to progress to the next chef level. And if I am jot mistaken 50 gems cost 1.99. So if you are not interested in spending big do not waste time with it. It was a nice experience but frustrating to find out that at least 100 would be required to reach final level.
