It's a pretty generic TD game with great graphics, it adds a card mechanic. You can level your towers by buying new cards, not super deep but there's a lot of content. Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #3 Zeillusion, Jan 6, 2016 Oh snap! The first defenders was beast! I totally loved the OG style defence gameplay. Along with the turbo'd visuals and card mechanics! Super excited to play this after work. Lots of nice new year releases it seems. Also I kinda missed a couple of times to replay the Levels in a harder Difficult Level and was afterwards forced to pay with Krones to be able to replay those which kinda didn`t made any sense at all to me when I had already played them once. chaos_envoys Well-Known Member Jan 1, 2011 1,330 0 36 Medical Doctor Pokke Village, Indonesia #6 chaos_envoys, Jan 7, 2016 Quite good, but the online only really makes me don't want to play... Any paywall pseudoart Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2013 59 0 0 #10 pseudoart, Jan 7, 2016 I didn't know this was coming. The first one was by far my favorite TD. A bit bummed that it's not premium, but that's what it is. What's worse is that my connection while commuting is crap, so I might not even be able to play it on the go. :/ Limelight Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2014 250 0 16 To save my city. localhost https://www.youtube.com/user/wizigames #11 Limelight, Jan 7, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel sakara214ever Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 1,262 168 63 #12 sakara214ever, Jan 7, 2016 Nice game! And the concept of upgrading using cards is terrific u keep wanting more!!! forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #14 forsakenxe, Jan 7, 2016 I will wait a bit to sink time into this one (I do not have much time for iOS gaming atm) but I would really like some impressions from users that got to the later stages of the game and if there is a paywall sort of thing or a massive grind required to progress. Thank you! Watching this thread closely. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #15 orangecan, Jan 7, 2016 Loved the first one but can't get this to run. On air 2 latest iOS it just keeps trying to connect and then tells me to check my internet settings.... forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #16 forsakenxe, Jan 7, 2016 I Amon the same device and iOS and it works for me, so should be something on your end. Do you have the GC bug? Maybe it has something to do with that, dunno though. Jaxal65 Member Oct 30, 2014 14 0 0 #17 Jaxal65, Jan 7, 2016 So far the first one looks much better. I like the landscape mode better for TD games. As far as paywall, it looks like after completing an area you need to use the premium stars to raid again. Having to be online now also stinks. Defenders 1 was great on my non wifi ride home from work. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #18 orangecan, Jan 7, 2016 It's working now cheers, no idea what the problem was but it seems to have sorted itself out RinoaHeartily Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2010 1,715 10 38 #19 RinoaHeartily, Jan 7, 2016 I am level 10 now. I believe this game gonna be a grind fest soon. Some of the levels are difficult to play. I prefer this over the previous one due to the quick play nature of each level.. There are like only 5-6 waves each time. Some tips for beginners.. Whenever u use stars to search or raid a place.. Make sure you continue the hard mode until u get defeated. You will be rewarded until you get defeated. The moment you exit or quit that stage u can't go back without spending stars anymore. If you sense defeat you can quickly restart the level but don't exit it.
