Looks pretty decent, I might be picking it up. schnedi Well-Known Member Apr 16, 2015 122 0 0 #4 schnedi, Dec 17, 2015 wft 40+ hours of gameplay?....... CoolGlassesGuy Active Member Dec 16, 2015 29 0 0 San Antonio, TX #5 CoolGlassesGuy, Dec 20, 2015 Bought this yesterday, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. Has some good gameplay, interesting story so far, and I like the characters a lot up to the point I'm at. My expectations weren't high, but I'm pleasantly surprised. (Also, I kinda doubt that it has over 40 hours of gameplay...) L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #6 L.Lawliet, Dec 20, 2015 Well thanks for the impressions! I checked Google Play reviews (they get Kemco releases months before iOS) and they are pretty mixed. So I'm still on the fence but I'm glad Kemco is still making classic RPGs. CoolGlassesGuy Active Member Dec 16, 2015 29 0 0 San Antonio, TX #7 CoolGlassesGuy, Dec 20, 2015 No problem! Now would actually be a good time to buy the game, since (as I'm writing this) it's on sale from 7.99 to 4.99. (Also, those Android players getting Kemco games early ) Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #8 Solarclipse, Dec 23, 2015 Last edited: Dec 23, 2015 I'm maybe ten hours in, and this one's really good! The battle system is fresh and interesting, the story is pretty solid with an interesting world and characters. The crafting system allows for a number of ways to get materials and I'm actually digging it, and I'm usually not a fan of crafting. This is easily in my top three kemcos ever, I highly recommend if you like RPGs. Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #9 Solarclipse, Dec 27, 2015 I hope Shaun reviews this one. It deserves a little attention. I guess it's getting lost in all the holiday flurry. Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #10 Amenbrother, Dec 27, 2015 Hmmmm that sounds pretty good. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #12 L.Lawliet, Dec 27, 2015 Personally I think Asdivine Hearts / Dios and Revenant Saga are the best from Kemco. Seems a weighty claim for Kemco anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #14 anthony78, Jan 4, 2016 Fantasy Chronicle is by far my favorite Kemco RPG. Since this mentions the "return of the Guardian Beasts", which were in that game I was wondering if this is a sequel of sorts. Can anyone who has played both comment on whether this ties in with Fantasy Chronicle? In addition to being my favorite Kemco game, that still stands as one of my favorite JRPGs on iOS period. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #15 anthony78, Jan 13, 2016 Last edited: Jan 13, 2016 Well, didn't get an answer here on whether this was a sequel, but glad to see Shaun's review giving this some notice and acknowledging it is indeed a sequel. I actually picked this up a few days after my last post. Enjoying it so far. It's early on yet, but I do still think it's not quite on par with Fantasy Chronicle. It's been a while so I may need to go back and play it sometime to see if it still holds up. I do, however, remember liking the game's structure with the guild system, etc. It also had a darker tone than this one (so far at least). That said, the story seems good here and even if it isn't the best translation job, the banter between the characters can be pretty funny. And, as Shaun mentioned, the crafting system is well done. Anxious to play it some more, but could be one of the better Kemco releases. There was something special about Fantasy Chronicle so it'll be interesting to see if it comes close to matching the fond memory of that game. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
