With Taichi panda out there now and all sorts of awesome RPGs , this feels rushed. Bad framerste and poorly optimized on the 6, 6s and new iPad. Will play more later but the first few hours have me tempted to delete. I have played the original Age of Wushu on PC and this game is very successful platform change. I have been playing it on my iPhone 6 plus for the past hours and I have yet to see any frame rate problems. Granted, it might be demanding for older devices, but runs fluid on my phone. You've got to be blind to not see advantages of this game over Tai Chi Panda. To start things off, this game has the original games complex skill cultivation system. It has the familiar timer system with top up mechanics. They kept most of the soundtracks from the original game and the different school combo animations are just insane. This game lets you do full auto battle but also lets you fight with its unique defense, brake defense, attack system, very similar to the original game. The graphics and animations are very well done. Im not saying it doesn't have flaws, but it definitely doesn't feel rushed. stephenk Well-Known Member May 11, 2015 92 0 0 #10 stephenk, Jan 7, 2016 Finally it's out. I've play the PC version. I often check these threads out after I read very bad or good impressions (saved me money on zodiac) for more and different opinions. I will give it a try in a few days (huge backlog), how grindy and repetitive does it get? Also how bad are the timers? Thank you! Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #13 Zeillusion, Jan 7, 2016 Last edited: Jan 7, 2016 I've played the PC game as well, a ton as a matter of fact when it was first released. Judging by what people are writing online they also are experiencing the optimization and framerate issues. It's by all means not "revolutionalizing combat" lol. The sloppy writing translation was rushed as well, it's quite funny. Sorry that you felt my information on poor optimization was not fair. Compared to some rpg / mmo - light mobile games out in the App Store this definitely feels a bit rushed. I stand by my opinion though Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #14 Based Xatu, Jan 7, 2016 TP doesn't require anything but mashing buttons. You actually need to pay attention on here. RichRuzz Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2012 576 0 16 #15 RichRuzz, Jan 7, 2016 Not sure about that yet, still waiting to see if it gets deeper. I was a longtime player of AoW for PC and the leader of the Shaolin school for a bit, think they're using the AoW setting as a Tai Chi Panda reskin with AoW flavoring. Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #16 Based Xatu, Jan 7, 2016 My only issue with the game so far, is how much stuff there is. You can get a little lost in UI and even in the game world. It's very ambitious, but it feels slightly out of place for a mobile game. RichRuzz Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2012 576 0 16 #17 RichRuzz, Jan 7, 2016 I'm Rich on Wudang if anyone wants to coop or if we can 2v2 arena. More and more keeps unlocking but the translation is BAAAAD and makes some stuff confusing. !nsomn!ac Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 80 0 0 #18 !nsomn!ac, Jan 8, 2016 People that keep saying its a mindless button mashing, it is a button mash when youre figting NPCs, try doing the arena PVP, the one thats not on autopilot, but the other one. Its ranked, it has a queue and youre dueling a real player. THATS where you get to feel the unique fight style of Age of Wushu. You will need to use the ground sliding a lot, blocking, braking thir black and comboing when theyre knocked down. Otherwise a good player will stunlock you. Matchmaking is unbalanced though. People who keep saying this is a reskin of Panda. This games fight mechanics, graphics, character animation is way closer to the original PC Wushu, which came out way before Panda. Research before jumping to conclusions. Timers (vigor) arent too bad, but its not good either. If youre out of vigor, that means you cant run instnaces and dungeons, but you can run around and kill mobs and get some xp and silver. This game is VERY grindy, just like the PC version. It is very repetitive. Leveling alows down after 20. I hope they fix the framerate issues that people complain about, personaly havent had any issues with that yet. If they are able to bring over the school book stealing, school battles and many other activities from PC and if they release new school internal skills and add more signature fighting styles, this might turn out to be a very fun game.
