I'm interested in this as it does look weird. TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #5 TheGreatEscaper, Dec 14, 2015 Instabought. I love this dev, and the story running through his games is starting to get very juicy. This one looks like it might be the biggest and best in the series so far. Will be back with imps but I can say that I loved the devs other games. If you're into a bit of creepy surrealism with surprisingly intuitive puzzles and a David Lynchian story, then this is for you! Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #6 Sash-O, Dec 14, 2015 Wow! I found the other games from this dev and started the story with completing Cube Escape: Seasons. Good escape game I will play the others before getting Rusty Lake Hotel TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #7 TheGreatEscaper, Dec 14, 2015 The Cube Escape series is great. Seasons, Case 23, and The Mill are the major games in the series. Lake, Harvey's box and Arles are just small 'filler' episodes almost. Gonna devote the next hour or two to Hotel. Catch yall in a few. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #8 NOEN, Dec 15, 2015 I never played any of the devs other games, but this one looks really cool. I'll try and give it a go tonight. I did looks at some of their other games and they all looked pretty good also, so if I end up digging this one, it looks like there's plenty more to play. It's a great game - several spooky moments, great artwork and soundscape, and the puzzles are all very intuitive (apart from some of the secret things, but I guess that's kind of the point of secrets). The game takes place over five nights, where you choose a guest's room to visit each night. In each room you have to do *something* - trying to leave the room will result in the ominous message 'You can't leave the room without meat.' I liked how each of the guest's rooms are themed. For example, the rabbit's room is themed around magic tricks, and the pigeons room is themed around electricity. It's a nice touch and the puzzles are integrated very well. There are a fair few disturbing moments (no jumpscares), and if you're sensitive to animal violence I wouldn't recommend playing this. I'm not overly sensitive but some parts still made me a bit uncomfortable. Interface is standard point and click, intuitive and easy. Playtime is probably 2 hours plus, I had a bit of an easier time given that I'm familiar with this devs games. There are a lot of secrets it seems, though, so it might take 3 or more hours to find them all. I think the price is well justified, it's really quite the unusual experience and all the other games in the series are free. Highly recommended, unless as I mentioned you're sensitive to some violent/disturbing elements. My kind of game. But I didn't know they had so many other titles. I'm curious what it is about those that made them free. I'll happily pick this up. ludka33 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2013 217 0 16 #14 ludka33, Dec 15, 2015 Going to try all the other cube games before picking up this one. Really curious about the story. You had me at "David Lynch-esque." TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #15 TheGreatEscaper, Dec 15, 2015 So I've perfected four dinners. Does anyone know where to find the Tomatoes? That's the only secret item I'm missing. I have the secret rusty lake specialty as well, Tomatoes are the last thing I need to 100% the game. tenspoon New Member Aug 7, 2015 3 0 0 South Korea https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tobeorgame.global.penguinhero #16 tenspoon, Dec 15, 2015 that looks so cute like story book! It's essentially part of the same universe of another series, the Cube escape series by the same developer. The games in that series should be played in the following order: Seasons, Lake, Arles, Harvey's Box, Case 23, Mill. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
