ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #3 ROGER-NL, Dec 10, 2015 This is really fun, it reminds me a bit of Floe a puzzle game from 5 years ago. The tilting works perfect gotta say that. Looks very polished, puzzle fans should lap this up. Game Center would have been great if it only was for Achievements, lets say 100 points for each Chapter Ha ha. When you tilt, the blocks just move one bit at a time, how do I say that, there not loose all over the place, it's clever, I use the word clever a lot but that's what it is Ha ha, just try it for yourself. Normally I don't play tilt games but this is the best tilt game I have ever played, it's so smooth, great job Dev. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #5 y2kmp3, Dec 13, 2015 Last edited: Dec 13, 2015 Bought the game based on Roger-NL's recommendation. Nice puzzles. Some of them are quite clever. Unlike Roger-NL, the tilt responsive on my iPad Air 2 is very sluggish and inconsistent. Sometimes I have to tilt the device a lot, other times not. Not sure why this is the case. Perhaps the game is best play on a smaller device. Roger-NL, are you referring to Ice Floe? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magmamobile.game.IceFloe&hl=en I don't recall seeing Floe on iOS. Do you have a link? Your deep knowledge of iOS puzzle games never ceases to amaze me. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #6 ROGER-NL, Dec 13, 2015 The game is called Floe- A little bear needs your help, it's still on the appstore look it up, it's also great. You need big tilting to move the blocks and little tilting to move the hedgehog, works fine by me. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #7 y2kmp3, Dec 14, 2015 Thanks, Roger-NL, for the tip. THE NETHERLANDS #9 ROGER-NL, Dec 16, 2015 Hi there, I am not been able to do level 7 in world 7, I am more than an hour on it but can't do it, can you confirm that this is not a bug or something. Tilt Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2015 54 0 6 Game Designer NYC https://addagrams.com #10 Tilt, Dec 16, 2015 One of the hardest levels Hey ROGER-NL, congrats on your speedy progress. I can confirm that it's solvable and that it is also one of the toughest levels. If you'd like a hint, I'm happy to oblige (a lot of the beta-testers needed it for that level). Cheers! THE NETHERLANDS #11 ROGER-NL, Dec 16, 2015 I need a hint please, y2kmp3 had confirmed to me that the level is possible, it needs one critical move but I don't see it. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #12 ROGER-NL, Dec 16, 2015 Nevermind just got the level with help from y2kmp3, when you finally see it you go like what did I not see that, but that makes a great puzzle game. And yeah, it's funny, I never thought of that puzzle as being one of the hardest when I made it, but for some reason that one key move has proven very difficult to see. I'll link the photo hint for level 7-7 below in case anyone else needs it. Level 7-7 Photo hint: Try to get to this position Cheers and thanks for playing! y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #14 y2kmp3, Dec 16, 2015 Last edited: Dec 16, 2015 Can you explicitly confirm that the hat in level 7-8 is retrievable? I am able to solve the level easily but have not been able to get the hat. Just want to make sure that the level is bugged this way. NO HINT YET. Just want a confirmation that the level is legit concerning the hat. Tilt Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2015 54 0 6 Game Designer NYC https://addagrams.com #15 Tilt, Dec 16, 2015 Yep! It's definitely possible. I will say though, in my opinion getting that hat box is the hardest objective in the game. The level itself isn't too difficult to solve though, so I was torn on how far into the game to put that one. y2kmp3 Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2010 1,784 3 38 #16 y2kmp3, Dec 16, 2015 Thanks for the confirmation. The puzzles in World 8 are surprisingly very difficult. Stuck again early on. Am I correct that these puzzles are all handcrafted? They are just too clever to be generated algorithmically. How do you come up with such clever layout? Very curious about the creation process. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. THE NETHERLANDS #18 ROGER-NL, Dec 17, 2015 Just got 8-2 myself you need the tricks you learned from 7-7, really like this game, I have put it in my top ten for Game of the Year here on Touch Arcade. Tilt Well-Known Member Oct 29, 2015 54 0 6 Game Designer NYC https://addagrams.com #19 Tilt, Dec 17, 2015 Congrats on the solve! And yes, all hand-crafted. That's how I can guarantee they're all doable, haha. 8-2 is one of my favorites actually and was a last minute replacement. I had a different one in that spot that I wasn't feeling satisfied with, so I spent a little time upping the ante. As far as the creation process in general, sometimes I had a specific trick that I tried to design around. Other times I would just put random shapes on the board without a goal point and test it. I'd figure out where the trickiest spot to get to was and that's where I'd put the goal. Eventually I played it enough that I started to really understand how particularly shaped pieces could interact with each other and so I was able to use that to craft specific patterns.
