Nothing new or groundbreaking from what I've played so far, but well worth picking up for fans of the genre. inthismoment07 Active Member Aug 12, 2014 39 0 0 #8 inthismoment07, Dec 11, 2015 Really good game. I would call it a platformer first and foremost, with speed running elements thrown in. The levels are fairly long with no checkpoints so it can be tough. The graphics are also very appealing. Well worth the two bucks. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #9 touchy85, Dec 11, 2015 Can anyone please tell me, how are the controls? DonnyDJ76 Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2011 1,793 58 48 Male Teacher Hackensack, NJ #10 DonnyDJ76, Dec 11, 2015 Excellent game. Tight controls. A lot of levels. 1000 GC points. One of my best, if not the best pickups for me this week. Sash-O Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2015 1,570 0 0 Germany #11 Sash-O, Dec 11, 2015 Last edited: Dec 11, 2015 Ok, bought! I'm looking forward to see more steam games getting released on iOS! I'm 5 levels into the second set of levels and it's just feeling all too samey right now and I have absolutely no drive to continue on. It's great, don't get me wrong...but it's just not...special and saying that really hurts since Playdigious' other PUBLISHED title, Puddle+ is just incredible in every sense of the word. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #13 anthony78, Dec 11, 2015 Not sure if you saw my post but I do totally agree with this being "safe" with nothing new to add to the genre. But still do find it enjoyable. I agree too that Puddle is a much more unique and memorable experience (I haven't played the + version, but the Android version was really good -- unlike the first iOS effort that I don't know why it was so bad in comparison). touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #14 touchy85, Dec 12, 2015 No controls customization, which is a bit of a bummer. Playdigious Active Member Sep 1, 2015 44 17 8 Paris, France #15 Playdigious, Dec 12, 2015 Thank you @Metal Casket for your feedback and support for Puddle+. We can agree that Mechanic Escape is less innovative than Puddle (and we will keep pushing marketing for this game) but really pleased users on Steam. New nice stuff come up a bit later in the game. Keep playing a bit Is there any Steam game you would love to see on iOS? @Touchy85 we will consider it and see if we can/will do it (especially for left/right). The best way to play the game would be with a physical controller (We have the MFI support) but during our playtests we didn't feel that the controls are really an issue. After 2 levels it should be good. But I wish the jump button was a bit more to the left of the screen, it's too close to the edge of the screen. Hmmmm, anything from Steam I'd like to see on iOS? Holy crap, I have no idea. I'd love to see the Megaton Edition of Duke Nukem 3D be brought to mobile devices. We sold the company last year and established Playdigious. We are still a bit in the shadow of DotEmu to help out and anything "retro" go to them. You know how I posted earlier that I got to the 5th level in the Electric Swamp and was starting to feel a little burned out? That's precisely the level there's a much needed slight difficulty spike and the next few levels flow so well that you can't help but I want to play on! Still, like anthony, I feel like it isn't groundbreaking, but I definitely get why people are enjoying it. I know I certainly am. Stupid me. I should learn how to wait a little more before posting. >_> (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
