Love the video. Here are some more impressions from Polygon and Indie Haven. geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #5 geoelectric, Dec 10, 2015 Only played a few minutes. Interesting concept. It's somewhere between Lifeline and Godville. You make some decisions, wait (in real time) for AIs to do stuff and notify you when done, then you get a Godville style update of each AI's status and the story moves forward per your choice. The overall aesthetic of the AI conversations is very Animal Crossing, surprisingly enough. I turned off the Nintendoesque conversation noises pretty quickly. Wait time has been as much as two hours and thirty minutes for a choice to resolve. You can shorten it by playing a retro "shoot the moving target" game. You only get a few minutes off for a successful shot, and that's after a string of them: they start at 30 seconds off then go up with your combo. Upshot is that a 2 hour 30 minute wait time is like 60 or more successful shots, where you only get a chance to shoot every few seconds and one miss sets you back to 30s. I'm sick to hell of the retro shooter already after not very much time, so my only assumption is that you're not really supposed to use that as a main way to pass time and the game is designed to discourage that approach. If you were supposed to play games to pass time, I'd need about 3-5 more minigames to make that worthwhile. Just one that's so simple is boring. That's a bad note to end on, but it really is charming and the initial App Store reviews are very good. It's going to come down to whether I enjoy a game that essentially says don't call it, it'll call you. ludka33 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2013 217 0 16 #6 ludka33, Dec 10, 2015 Looks really interesting. L0ck Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2015 212 2 0 #8 L0ck, Dec 11, 2015 Charming as all-get-out. Honestly afraid I'm nearing the end of the story. Whether I am or not, really hope that I get to adventure with this cast again. The minigame is very simple, sure, but it does the job as a way for the impatient to progress the story. Some variety there would be nice, but it's a small complaint on a great experience. catchandrelease Active Member Oct 21, 2015 29 0 0 Developer Winston-Salem, NC http://www.StarBillions.com #9 catchandrelease, Dec 11, 2015 I'm so glad you're liking it, L0ck. Expect a bigger season with new characters, huge decisions, more character development, and a continuation of season 1's story that's unlike anything you've ever seen in a mobile game. Absolutely loving it so far, even with the peculiar absence of any leporine AIs. = The artwork style fits so well, as does the dialog. The use of the minigames to reduce the time to the next event is rather a neat touch, and all without IAPs, beyond purchasing season 2. catchandrelease Active Member Oct 21, 2015 29 0 0 Developer Winston-Salem, NC http://www.StarBillions.com #20 catchandrelease, Apr 10, 2016 Awesome!
