No tutorial or help to get you going? Based on the video It seems way to complicated to just dump you in the "game". I'm hoping that's not the case. Has anyone tried this & if so thoughts? Thanks in advance. brainbag Active Member Sep 11, 2014 38 0 0 #3 brainbag, Dec 5, 2015 Last edited: Dec 5, 2015 This is exactly the kind of game I've been looking for. It's beautiful and has a lot of nice touches, the details of the sound and the planets and all of the text. But... I can't figure out anything about how to actually play the game. There's one tooltip that says "click here to open the tech tree" but I can't select anything in it. There are no other star systems nearby when I zoom out. I've clicked on every single icon, button, screen and corner, and tried every swipe, squeeze and action that I can think of, but nothing does anything except zoom or show information. I've spent twenty minutes trying to figure it out. There's a lot of stuff about industry and science production, a star system screen that clearly intends to expand, and a lot of great numbers and a good story. But where the heck is the game?! Edit: I finally tried just letting it sit on high speed mode (it defaults to slowest) and some more star systems appeared. I bought them and a few science things. The science things don't seem to have any impact whatsoever, and they have no explanation at all for what they're supposed to do. I bought stuff and now my numbers are changed, with no real sense of why or what affected it. So far it looks like it's a really basic but obtuse tamagotchi game in space, pretty disappointed. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #4 mzinn, Dec 5, 2015 Thanks for the insight. I was afraid of this. It has so much potential. I don't need a full blow game but it would be nice to know some things so your not just guessing until pure frustration. I also understand it's basically sandbox & I'm ok with that but a little hand holding as you start would have set us up to go explore & have fun with what is here because the sound & visuals look gorgeous. I'm sure a 2 min tutorial would have made a world (pun intended) of difference. mzinn Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2014 770 0 16 #5 mzinn, Dec 10, 2015 Last edited: Dec 10, 2015 I see they added a tutorial.
