JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #3 JasonLL, Nov 15, 2015 Really been enjoying Weekend Warriors and if anyone enjoys UFC / Pride (especially Pride) they should give it a shot. Weekend Warriors feels a little bit different than his previous games but similar enough where you could jump in, although I would strongly recommend playing the tutorial. The full version like WR3D is well worth the money giving you a full career and promoter modes that can give you tons of hours of gameplay especialliy if you have editing OCD and like to tweak the default rosters appearance/stats/moves until you get them exactly to your liking. bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #4 bigrand1, Nov 16, 2015 Dig it!!! An Android version! I'll grab that one for my phone!!! Luckithroe Well-Known Member Feb 27, 2010 123 0 0 #5 Luckithroe, Nov 17, 2015 These games are disgustingly under rated. In my opinion, this destroys any of the other MMA games from recent memory. Especially the mobile cash in variants. Sexy Pirate Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2014 889 0 0 Call centre / Parent Newcastle England #6 Sexy Pirate, Nov 17, 2015 Been a long time fan of mdickies games and love nearly every one of them. Especially the wrestling revolution ones. This is no exception it's brilliant. The short matches and judges decisions if nobody taps out or gets knocked out is a great touch. Also love the conference parts before a fight where you see your characters sat at the desk talking about how there going to win. Just like the wrestling games this is looking like it's one of those you can play for a long time. And the small file size of mdickie games mean that they always stay on all my devices. Picked up the full version when it hit the store without even checking out the free one as I was that confident it would be worth the money. I didn't even bother checking out the free version and instantly plopped down that $10 for the pro version. I'm seriously looking forward to firing this bad boy up! You know what's funny? I don't think anyone can fully appreciate MDickie's titles without having tried the other titles being offered in the same genre. Serious thats just a fact, especially the 3d wrestling, once you make every wrestler or fighter with their exact music and look, you wont go back, and as sexy pirate said..... The file size for these masterpeices is ridiculously small that it will never leave my ios devices, NEVER!! So buying the premium to show some love #✌#️✌# H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #10 H4nd0fg0d, Nov 17, 2015 Bloody awesome! Minus the blood. Btw, I'd like a lil blood in the name of artistic realism. Brutal sweet battler. Wow it is good. When I saw that I deleted it. Fix that unrealistic crap and it would rock more. I like the game itself just can't get past how hitting someone with a chair is MMA. Luckithroe Well-Known Member Feb 27, 2010 123 0 0 #12 Luckithroe, Nov 17, 2015 +1 (bought it soon as I seen it - no regrets) Luckithroe Well-Known Member Feb 27, 2010 123 0 0 #13 Luckithroe, Nov 17, 2015 Honestly I felt the same way until I realized it was a particular league. Moreover, they don't climb out of the ring in MMA but they physically could so I assume that's why he left those bits in. I do wish the fights were a tad shorter though. More flash KO's and Subs JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #14 JasonLL, Nov 18, 2015 Last edited: Nov 18, 2015 I believe you can limit the chances of objects by lowering the Item limit in the options menu if your looking for more realism. You will still have to suspend your disbelief somewhat with the crazy pro wres exchanges that can happen from time to time, although much more infrequent than his actual wrestling game, which is why I recommend this game much more to a MMA fan that was interested in the realistic but also entertainment style of Pride FC (real fights, for the most part, but much stronger incentive by the company to entertain the crowd). Did you try changing the match length in the options menu? That should help out quite a bit if you want a shorter match. The stats in strike / sub do affect the critical chance but I do agree with you though I would like criticals to be a bit more frequent in general. Luckithroe Well-Known Member Feb 27, 2010 123 0 0 #15 Luckithroe, Nov 18, 2015 Appreciate it Jason, I guess I should have been more clear. The 5 minute or whatever round length is standard to the sport however when I am taking multiple knees to the face I would prefer not to depend on a health bar to go down. Just that general excitement of mma where anything can happen at anytime. Don't get me wrong, compared to other mma games this one has it in spades, but a simulation or hardcore mode would be a welcome addition in my opinion. Still Best MMA game of the year (and recent memory) in my opinion. Don't let my comments sway you away if your on the fence. Caffeinebomb Well-Known Member Apr 30, 2013 45 0 0 Game Programmer Guildford, UK http://bitbybitgames.co.uk/ #16 Caffeinebomb, Nov 18, 2015 Interesting game. Really impressive if it's just one person's work! Maybe a bit too obviously based on wrestling though, the weapons and some of the moves are incredibly illegal in MMA. Will definitely be playing more though If anyone's interested in playing the management side of MMA, we've just launched our new free MMA management game "MMA Manager Free", I've created a new thread for it at http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3730308. We went for a stripped down text based take on fights instead of proper 3d fighting. NaughtHere Well-Known Member Nov 14, 2010 87 0 0 #18 NaughtHere, Nov 18, 2015 This game is literally not mma. All of the moves are fake wrestling moves and I've yet to see anything that could even remotely qualify as a move from an actual martial art. This is just his previous game with cosmetic changes and false advertising. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #20 JasonLL, Nov 18, 2015 Picked up the paid version of MMA Manager a while back and it's a fantastic game that Iv'e dropped plenty of hours into. I know it's greedy of me but I would love to see this game turned into a series . Not false advertising at all. There's a ton of new MMA specific animations and the game plays differently enough to differentiate it from Wrestling Revolution. Mat uses a lot of the same assets of his previous work but that is a reality of plenty of designers with limited resources. You could say it feels like a "MMA Mode" of a wrestling game much like FirePro Wrestling's gruesome fighting mode and that I would agree with but most people that have played both could clearly see the difference while, of course, spotting the similarities.
