So what's it like? Do you have much choice and control in battles? Can't really tell exactly what you are doing just watching that. Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #4 Sanuku, Nov 3, 2015 Your commands during the Battles are pretty limited at the beginning and as you are expanding over the time and boost the Stats of your Army/Castle you are getting more and more different Skills/Soldier- & War Gear that you can use. Still this isn`t an full Total War Game so their movements is still limited as you can already see in the first Battle that is a couple of minutes into the Gameplay Video. Considering that the Team in UK has invested aready much more time then they had done with the other Total War Mobile Game we are still far away from being finished here. But compared to the other Total War Mobile Game it`s so far definitly a step forward instead of just doing the obvious and cashing in on the Total War Franchise a second time. I`ll keep playing the Game for the following couple of weeks and see how it does evolve but so far I can tell that CA still needs to invest a lot more time into the Game since at the current moment I would even go as far to say that the Core Game Mechanics & Gameplay Parts are already there but some things still feel very rough and unpolished so I don`t expect to see the Game launching this year if SEGA does give them enough time to make sure everything does feel smooth and enjoyable which at the current moment isn`t the case if it comes to some parts of the Battles. Baracus Well-Known Member Jun 19, 2009 1,023 0 36 UK http://www.hatenintendo.co.uk #5 Baracus, Nov 3, 2015 Thanks for the insight man. Doesn't sound too promising! Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #6 Sanuku, Nov 3, 2015 To be honest it could be worse. It`s just the polishing the Game still does need. Nothing more, nothing less. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #7 touchy85, Mar 21, 2016 Looks like this is out worldwide now. Or it is played on facebook game? !nsomn!ac Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2013 80 0 0 #10 !nsomn!ac, Mar 23, 2016 Man, I was happy to see this game release. Unfortunately, despite the awesome graphics and great sound, it looks like you dont have a full control over your division movements. Ive only been playing for few days, and I managed to unlock new army units. Each time I get a chance to unlock another type, it goves an option to unlock a more powerful one using gold, or lesser one without gold. Seeing this made me really change my mind about the game. I don't mond paying for timers or for shiny skin or decoration unlocks, but buying stronger units with cash makes this game a pay to win... Really sad it turned out like this. I hope Im wrong. Ill keep playing for a while, and if the pay to win factor is real, I will definitley just delete it. Palanthian Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2016 142 2 18 #11 Palanthian, Mar 23, 2016 Wow I've just installed this today and, at first glance, this looks incredible. The kingdom management aspect is on a level I have never seen before, and I've played pretty much every RTS game on the App Store. This is genuinely something new for mobile, something "next generation". The only possible competitor for this would be Dawn of Titans, but that's still mired in a year long soft launch, and then some. I can't understand why this has been released with ZERO fanfare. I found it by accident in the App Store, then came here to see if there was a thread for it. They seem to have spent nothing on advertising, either that or it just hasn't come into play yet. I really hope this gets noticed, played and talked about. This could be the advanced RTS I've been waiting for, the first serious RTS which has virtually nothing in common with Clash of Clans. It deserves to succeed. midasmulligan Well-Known Member Oct 1, 2015 156 2 18 #12 midasmulligan, Mar 23, 2016 I agree with you my friend it looks and plays wonderfully with tons of depth. It's still listed on the forums as CA release when in fact it's worldwide now Palanthian Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2016 142 2 18 #13 Palanthian, Mar 23, 2016 I read on their forums that the launch date is tomorrow, so I guess they've just made it available one day early. I've also read some hate for this game on Steam, but I think it's by either PC/Mac players who don't like/understand mobile games or Total War fans who were expecting full-on Total War on a handheld device (which was never going to happen). This looks, to me, like what I wanted Game of War to be like, when I saw the TV adverts - before I realised that it was just a menu clicker with no actual battles taking place. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #14 touchy85, Mar 23, 2016 you can get it on steam Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #15 Sanuku, Mar 23, 2016 http://store.steampowered.com/app/300080/ Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I did replay the newest Build to get a better feeling for what has changed since I had played Total War Battles: Kingdom a couple of months ago and to be honest the Final Build does feel very smooth so I can only advise everyone to give the Game a try to see on their own if they like it or not. Total War Battles: Kingdom is not a bad Game at all but sadly still feels like here and there someone at Creative Assembly had`t thought about how to implement some of the InGame Core Gameplay Features till the end. The Battle System in the Game is working as it should but the Team kinda missed the oppurtunity to explain the overall different kind of units in a different way InGame so mostly of the time you will be forced to use the Total War Battles Kingdom Wiki Page to get a better understanding of your Units and how you use those the best InGame. Conclusion: After playing the Game for around two hours there are still a couple of edges in the Game I strongly would suggest that the Team back in England work out since those where already mentioned again and again by many that have so far played the Game and nobody at SEGA or at Creative Assembly can tell me that they didn`t knew about those or have never heard about those before. Rating: 3/5 Stars Palanthian Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2016 142 2 18 #16 Palanthian, Mar 23, 2016 Agreed, my number one criticism is that the tutorial borders on useless. This is a very complex game compared to a typical Clash of Clans clone. I've been looking online for answers, but there's very little material out there. I can see many players starting this and rage quitting. They should have put together a really detailed onboarding system for new players. Only dedicated players like me will put the work in to figure things out. Kenan2000 Well-Known Member Nov 25, 2013 1,134 1 38 #17 Kenan2000, Mar 23, 2016 This game is surprisingly good and fun to play, for now i don't even have to wait for a few hours for my troops to heal or sleep or whatever in order to do missions and fight,is not it awesome already? ashmike3 Well-Known Member May 15, 2014 660 9 18 #18 ashmike3, Mar 23, 2016 I'm digging it so far. Definitely more robust than most, but still a timer-based, currency-fueled clasher. As such, I don't have the will to put it through its paces long enough to give a fair review. Looks great though. Plus, and this was the uninstall signal for me, it's too pay2win. Not my type. Would prefer good pixelated games over these fancy graphics hiding the game behind coc Game underneath.
