Really, such an outstanding work of a single Dev where you see and feel how much love and thoughts he put in. Congrats! This old "deformed" arcade screen feels so lively, as if i would sit in front of one right now...or back then. Amazing. You have the option to switch the screen size to today's flat look, though. I'm not so sure about the responsive and good "lunarlandflappish" gameplay though. How long will it keep me going. I mean, there are so frustratingly hard levels, determined for rage quitting, no doubt. I'm also not so quite sure how to handle a new layout every hour. Comes in handy if a level seems unbeatable, of course. No long and real exercise possible to get better, somehow...hmm. A total cool service and roundup would have been an option to try out those other iap-ships ($1 each) with a little test-screen, try before you buy. I really will buy one or two new ships to support this loveletter, but i can't decide yet. Wondering if the last ship unlocks for free after buying all other five? And what about this barcode scanner? Is this a separate game mode which i can replay for ages, and will this go on the same leaderboard. Though that wouldn't be all to fair, imho. This ultra fast loading app has a little installed MB 8.5 and comes with a speedy huge replay "button". Thanks for that, too! A very welcomed distraction from my Dust time and highly recommended to give it a try. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #4 NOEN, Nov 3, 2015 Definitely looks cool. Downloading it now. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #5 Qwertz555, Nov 3, 2015 This level right atm...rage pur...but only with my bought Green Rocket, lol. This ship's little bit more weight, with the same thruster as the default Yellow, makes it impossible to pass the incredible narrow layout. A faster thrust, or less weight, is essential here. Btw, made the docking on my first try with Yellow. Though i have one fuel more with the Green, it seems to cancel due to more weight. I have to play longer now to weigh up which other ship might be a good and clever choice. krankyrobot Cancelled Patreon Indie Jun 23, 2015 40 0 6 Denver, CO http://www.krankyrobot.com #6 krankyrobot, Nov 3, 2015 Qwertz555, great feedback! 1) The Green Rocket is my favorite, but do you think I need to add more fuel? I'm looking into adding the "test-screen try before you buy” idea. And yes, the Super Rocket is unlocked with the purchase of the other ones. 2) I like the idea of adding a second leaderboard for the "bar-code” levels; I'm adding that to the next update. The bar-code feature creates a specific level that you play as long as you like. So yes, while some players love the challenge of mastering a level in an hour, the bar-code allows players as much time as they like. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #7 Qwertz555, Nov 3, 2015 This is a classic love or hate it game. It's all about memorizing and timing to beat a level. The fuel is not given to linger in space once you missed a passage. Oh, and every pixel turns magnetical, blocks, shoots or jumps at you in the meanwhile. So, yes, more fuel please. It would be nice to get a chance to iron out one or better two little mistakes, otherwise we'll be playing only two or three levels the most, and i'm the current leader with reaching level 4...once only! It only would be fair to have a separate barcode leaderboard. To play a permanent layout is a clear advantage. Hope you'll get enough downloads to justify more effort on this game. *cough cough, endless mode* If you think Flappy Bird was tough...rofl. krankyrobot Cancelled Patreon Indie Jun 23, 2015 40 0 6 Denver, CO http://www.krankyrobot.com #8 krankyrobot, Nov 4, 2015 By "endless" do you mean no-docking? ever? The one I'm on has a closing door and every damn time, I get crushed! Infuriating!! And what is the barcode scanner for? There's a lot about this game that has zero explanation and it turns me off as my initial thought. I want to keep playing, but I think most people are going to write this one off for the lack of any explanation on mechanics, the barcode scanner and no explanation, and the fact that any of the "good" ships are IAP only (as far as I can tell). If the difficulty wasn't so jarringly apparent at the outset, maybe you build a fan base. But as-is, the game is catering to a very small market and most people will rage-delete this off their phones. I can tolerate some pretty hardcore games, but ones that require constant failing, and lack any info on something seemingly "simple" as docking.....no thank you. H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #12 H4nd0fg0d, Nov 5, 2015 Not sure if I read you right, but reaching the top of the screen is the docking station for the level and those doors require you to stop and hover just short of them and then they'll stay open just long enough to spurt thru, or you can blast straight thru if you have a shield active. I hope this gives you the insight you were seeking. I'm rlly liking this but don't particularly like having to start at level one again after getting a single try at subsequent levels. This is the flaw and the fail, if you asked me. Dev should rlly amend this lackluster aspect of the game. RossmanBrothersGames Well-Known Member May 9, 2014 344 2 18 http://www.rossmanbrosgames.com #13 RossmanBrothersGames, Nov 5, 2015 Holy cow this game is hard. I'm working on an update. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #15 Qwertz555, Nov 5, 2015 The barcode scanner works flawless. I googled on my friends ipad for tons of barcode pictures, pick one, scan and you have a permanent layout. If you don't like, choose the next one. I tried hard to find a layout where i could beat my actual highscore...nope. I had one where i beat three levels "easily" (with low score), but the layout of the fourth was simply to difficult. Maybe i've had a chance with way more fuel, big maybe. So, imho, no need to put an extra barcode leaderboard in. Yeah, those doors...argh. Took me a while to realize why i kept dying. Also, to activate them you need to get pretty close first, and if you don't make it through then, the fuel drains away merciless. Lol, next try. I won't buy any new ships atm, seems useless. The default Yellow and my Green one do their job as good as possible. H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #16 H4nd0fg0d, Nov 5, 2015 Nice accessment. I too only bought the green ship and barcode which I have yet to employ. Thanx for the insight! vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #17 vectorarchitekt, Nov 5, 2015 Everything about this game is really great, but it is no fun at all hard. I am all about a challenge but this is just ridiculous. I even bought the barcode scanner and blue rocket and I can't make it more than 600 points. I would kill for a different control scheme...maybe one side of the screen is forward and one is either backwards or the brakes. Or you should maybe get a weapon from the start. I see these rockets have "lasers" but I suck so much I sure haven't seen one. The look, replayability and everything really is so good though. H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #18 H4nd0fg0d, Nov 5, 2015 It's not that hard Vec, I've scored like 3760 with yellow. I did buy green later tho. Difficulty isn't what I take issue with. For me, it's the one chance at subsequent levels. You fail, back to level one. That's ridiculous. Truly ridic. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #19 vectorarchitekt, Nov 5, 2015 Well, I guess I just suck! Lol H4nd0fg0d Well-Known Member Mar 30, 2010 1,905 0 36 #20 H4nd0fg0d, Nov 5, 2015 No Vec, it is stupid hard. In all honesty, the dev rlly needs to loosen things up a tad on the primary levels. There is just way way too much goin on in such a confined space. I rlly hope the dev addresses this because I'm loving this. My high is 3972 accomplished only by shooting so many things and getting timely(lucky) power ups. Lol (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
