Anyone dive in yet? This looks really good. If you loved dungelot don't hesitate to pick this up I am really enjoying it Amenbrother Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 6,659 7 38 #4 Amenbrother, Oct 31, 2015 If it wasnt Ipad only I would. PBSNellie Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2013 1,381 168 63 Southern CA #5 PBSNellie, Oct 31, 2015 So far I'm liking this. It does play similarly to Dungelot, but it seems deeper so far. I will keep going and see where I end up. It has a few minor spelling errors but the instructions are pretty clear. If anyone is interested, there is a wiki that does a pretty good job of explaining things that I was trying to figure out when I started playing: http://runestonekeeper.wikia.com/wiki/Runestone_Keeper_Wiki RandallPeek Well-Known Member May 21, 2014 60 0 0 #9 RandallPeek, Oct 31, 2015 Considering how much time and care goes into coding an application, I'm always surprised when developers allow programs into the wild with spelling errors. That seems to be the most obvious and easiest thing to fix that should have been eliminated in beta. It seems like this game is a pretty big hit on steam there are a ton of active ppl in their forums and it also sells for 9.99. A measly three bucks is all they ask on the App Store and at that price it's a steal. Ragn4rok 74 Well-Known Member Oct 9, 2014 264 0 0 #12 Ragn4rok 74, Oct 31, 2015 I've played it for one full game and definitely dig it. I played Dungelot 2 but never the original and I agree this IMO at least it better and far deeper than the sequel at least. Lots of gear and abilities to get. I like that you can buy upgrades at the start of the game. Even if you want to buy a character instead of earn them they are only a buck each. Great game to cap off a great week! Nergal Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2014 124 0 0 #14 Nergal, Nov 1, 2015 It makes me sad that somebody else had to make a better Dungelot. That game never reached its true potential in the sequel. It really was a great mobile experience. Either way, I'm all over this. zen_mode Well-Known Member Feb 8, 2015 366 0 16 Sydney #15 zen_mode, Nov 1, 2015 There's a new one in the works slated for release soon. Back to the topic of this game, does it save its state during a run? I'd also think the most obvious comparison is Desktop Dungeons. Nergal Well-Known Member Dec 16, 2014 124 0 0 #16 Nergal, Nov 1, 2015 Yes the game does keep save states during a run. The floor your on will start over differently, but you have the same items and health on that floor. I assume this is done to stop ppl abusing the save system to "cheat". I'm just getting starting, but I'm really liking it. It's teetering on that edge of being too complex for me to be a home run. I do like complex games, but not for short bursts of play. I find games that are the most fun on mobile are ones that you can tap away on your phone without thinking too much about what do. This game is almost like that, but right now I'm still learning so I'm sure it will get easier. I'd say get it if your interested. mkaen Well-Known Member Dec 9, 2011 165 0 16 #17 mkaen, Nov 1, 2015 Normally I 100% agree with you, but in this case they're Chinese so localizing for English probably isn't their forte. It surpasses it even in a lot of ways. My main issue is that the characters in game can either be purchased for a dollar each or you can unlock them through reaching a specific floor on a harder difficulty. The more I think about it though, the more I guess feel like it's fair. There isn't any consumable Iap which is a plus. I do recommend this to anyone on the fence. Kind of hard to put down and well made. Nekku Well-Known Member May 31, 2013 1,542 7 38 #19 Nekku, Nov 1, 2015 Very polished and alot of fun so far. Made it to Stage 8 on my fifth run which is the highest I've reached yet. Progression depends alot on which buffs and gear you can aquire during a run. Well worth the money if you liked Dungelot and it's far better, imo. Kotovsky Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 509 0 16 #20 Kotovsky, Nov 1, 2015 Not really interesting clone. I tried Dungelot 3, it's way better. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
