That warm life saving beacon not only saves ships, it keeps me safe too. Grandpa’s there just across the water watching over me. But the lighthouse hasn't shone now for days and the fog is thick! What's happened? It's time to visit Grandpa!" Beneath the lighthouse is a serene puzzle action game about a boy in search of his lost Grandpa. Your journey will take you through mysterious mechanical wheels that lay beneath the lighthouse! **Beneath The Lighthouse is optimized for iPhone5, iPad3, iPad mini2 and iPod Touch 5G or Newer. You can try it on older devices, but we can’t guarantee a smooth rolling experience! -This game is free to play or can be unlocked to a premium experience- Free to Play: We use advertising to monetise the experience. There are no coins/gems/booster to pay for or timers. The free version of the game contains a lives system which is carefully balanced to be fair but that makes the game slightly harder than premium. Premium unlock: We offer a single iAP to unlock the game to a premium experience. The premium version contains no 3rd party ads and we remove the lives system. This game contains cross promotion for other Nitrome games and this is not removed with the IAP for removal of ads. For those who are interested, this is based on one of Nitrome's earliest flash games, Roly Poly. I remember playing that ages ago and loving it, Nitrome has been producing quality games even from their early beginnings. There are a quite a few other flash games of theirs that I definitely wouldn't mind seeing revamped for mobile! vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #9 vectorarchitekt, Oct 29, 2015 How many levels are there? redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #10 redribbon, Oct 29, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel finally i can throw some money on these guys. they always delivered quality and never disappointed. this game is no different, really great puzzle platformer, the artwork and background music is just great. please if you still have some money one your itunes credits just buy the premium iap to unlock the full game without ads and unlimited lives. mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #11 mr_bez, Oct 29, 2015 Another great Nitrome game. I haven't yet bought the remove ads IAP and have to admit I'm not a great fan of the ad implementation model, where sometimes you get a video ad after dying then are immediately offer the chance to watch a second video ad to get more lives. That said, I'm quite happy playing with the standard "three continues per level or restart the level" so it's not really affecting me and I'm seeing very few ads. Controls work well, although I occasionally seem to get snagged on small edges that I'd expect to be able to roll over. Holding my phone in one hand and using a single index finger seems to work best for me. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #12 slewis7, Oct 29, 2015 This is seems to be freemium done right to me. I have spent about half an hour with it and find nothing to be too obtrusive or annoying about the interruptions or lives system. However, the game is so good that I am purchasing the IAP. This controls really nicely on my iPad and the music and graphics are great as is the game play. Well, Nitrome, so expected. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Houston, TX #18 slewis7, Oct 30, 2015 That last section of level 19 seems impossible. Argh.... TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #19 TheGreatEscaper, Oct 30, 2015 I've beaten level 19, possibly out of a fluke, but level 20 is giving me grief now. It involves getting the character into funnels in the middle of nowhere that are spiked on the side, and in the last section, with a floating mine above. If this isn't even halfway... EDIT: Just beat level 20. Level 20 is the halfway mark as I was just awarded the achievement. It actually turns out the funnels aren't really in the middle of nowhere and there is a nice clever solution for some of them. It looks like brains beats brawns even in the seemingly dexterous levels. ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer.
